Sam Hinkie is still out there isn't he? But that doesn't stop the Lasry Leakers unfortunately.

I also do not think that Jrue is getting a max extension and if you extend him 4 years, that brings to to age 35 and the 2025 season. So the 2025 unprotected pick is fine its the 2026 swap and 2027 unprotected that was dumb.

The only reason for Jrue not to get the max is if he doesn't like money.
Can you imagine the team trying to sell him walking away after next year given what they gave up for him?

I'm super excited to pair Jrue with Giannis, Khris, and Brook. That's a massive upgrade to last season. If you look at it in a vacuum....Jrue Holiday is a massive upgrade to Eric Bledsoe. The rest of our starting unit in place...this is a massive W. Not the Bucks fault that Wes decided to pursue a bigger deal, he earned that.
That being said, the entire future was mortgaged to make this move a reality....so I hope they had assurances....otherwise this trade will go down in Bucks lore the same way the Nets trade for Paul Pierce and KG is viewed in retrospect.

Came here to ask the same thing! Figured it would have been completed by now.

That Celtics package is not remotely similar. Bledsoe and Hill were both in the top 25 for RPM among pg's. Hayward was good too, but has a scary injury history and was making much more (presumably he doesn't want to stay in Boston so he didn't opt out until he realized they weren't going to be able to work out a trade).
More importantly, 3 picks in this draft are not nearly as good as #24, 2 unprotected future picks, and 2 unprotected pick swaps years from now. Considering all the things that could go wrong and cause at least a few of those picks to be really good ones, that's literally at least twice as enticing as what the Celtics offered, even though it is technically possible that the Bucks can keep their window open for 7 years despite Khris, Jrue, and Brook all being at least 29 and the Bucks having absolutely no young talent waiting in the wings besides maybe DDV.
