The sad thing about this whole thing is that people actually think we are ok with DDV.

We should all be ok with DDV, if he happens to find his way back on this roster. There is a lot to like about him. But in the George-Hill-15-20-minute-off-the-bench role, and not as our starting shooting guard. We still need one of those.

Giannis-Khris-Jrue, if it works, it might just be what we need. It feels more balanced.

But that's only my interpretation.

That's a very rational interpretation and they can still trade DDV for a 3-and-d guy.

The issue isn't that the Bucks lost out on some slam dunk trade, the issue is that they had to get as much prime talent as possible in order to maximize their odds of a title this year and maximize the odds of Giannis signing a supermax deal. There is no way you can even say they should have given up half those picks for Jrue, let alone all of them, without those two things happening.

That I agree with, but right now, he’s our SG. No one out there available to sign (realistically) that is better. DDV as our starting SG is tragic.

You guys can draw your own conclusions about their take. They dance around the issue of the Bucks being irrationally exuberant and wanting to tell the world.

Simmons: "Bogdanovic has a team, he's not going to the Bucks, he is going elsewhere"

Nail in the coffin... I just hope this was due to Bogdanovic backing out, and if so that someone leaks that detail

This. I still believe Donte can be very effective and he'd be great off the bench backing up both guard spots. An upgrade from Matthews at the 2 is needed, but he may be the best of the bunch of realistic free agents.

The NBA seems to be all about marketing and creating some buzz. Starting free agency on a Friday night seems like a really poor marketing choice. Anyone have any insight into this decision?

More than anything, it sucks to sit and wait all day.

While I agree Donte is still a viable piece, the idea of Bog on the team mitigated so many of our issues. You could've staggered Midds/Bog, Jrue/Giannis or always play 3 of 4. Offense would never be an issue as we would always have a shot maker/creator on the floor at all times. Too many times last year, especially in the playoffs, if Midds/Giannis went through a drought we'd literally be praying someone could hit a shot or do something.

Ddv is a 3 and d guy provided he improves his shot but the point was that we needed a more dynamic nba player

Just a reminder that they still aren't allowed to negotiate until later today. If we get dinged for this only for somebody else to come in and do the exact same thing right behind us, it's absolutely ****.

It feels pretty obvious that it’s already happened.

However, the #1 rule of tampering is “Be Lebron”, the #2 rule is “If not Lebron, don’t get caught.”

That stupid video the Bucks tweeted out has to be about the City jerseys, don't get excited about anything else.

But even if there were a leak and the exact details were legit, why is it OK for an NBA journo with no affiliation with any of the parties involved to have the power to (apparently) sink a deal because he tweets out a "done deal" while there are others endlessly talking about talks going on and where it seems like players are going to land all day? Make Woj 100% give up his source privately or the investigation should never have even been announced.

DDV can be a guy on a championship that comes off the bench and occasionally does some nice things, but can never be relied on for anything. He maybe wins you a random 1st round playoff game like Ersan has done before. He’s a bonus guy.

Boban would have been a huge upgrade to the starting 5. Makes Giannis better, Khris better. This is devastating.
