Buddy Heild is so overrated on this board it's ridiculous. Buddy Heild makes 22 million per, and doesn't do anything on a basketball court significantly better than Seth Curry.

Buddy is better driving to the basket and defensively(not much), since Seth is small to be a fulll time sg. But i agree with you, Seth will surprise a lot of people, he´s a legendary shooter, and has a really good contract. We got our Buddy way cheaper and, i might say, even better shooter than Buddy( can create more off dribble) . Great deal.

The moment we traded for Seth, we closed the door on Buddy Hield

Don't forget Shake shot 43% from 3 last season

If Danny Green and Tobias shoot respectable, our shooting woes will be minimal

One thing that could kinda change roster construction for the bench: Does Doc continue to stagger Jo and Ben, or does he play them together more?

Horford minus (Green plus Ferguson) = 8.4M

Curry's salary fits into that TPE.

And therefore the DAL trade creates a brand new TPE for Josh Richardson's full salary, 10.8M.

Maybe that's why they overpaid, to get the TPE? Still curious as to how Morey valued that deal.

The Curry trade already went through, but the Green trade isn’t going to for a couple weeks it sounds like because OKC didn’t want to wait on the original laker trade and make it a 4 teamer. Not sure why.

I see the PHI-DAL trade (without 36?) on the transaction list. And I see the OKC-LAL trade. So when can players be re-aggregated? January 15th like usual? What is the mechanism for getting around that so Horford isn't here waiting for January 15th?

So will have to wait a bit but not into the season, fortunately.

I'll take Green and Curry over Hield any day.

I'd look at Galloway or Teague for added depth if they're willing to accept the minimum, but would prioritize backup C and PF depth in free agency.

We may already have sufficient depth at PG between Simmons, Shake, Maxey, and Curry.

Curry (and Shake really) are more small 2s than PGs. We need guys who can break down defenders and get into the paint. Maxey will be able to do so but can't expect that right away from a rook. My guess is that Curry is chained to Ben so he can survive on defense ala what they did with him and Doncic.

If he wasn't such an ass shooter, Dunn would be a neat get...but yeah mans shoots like me i.e very poorly. soooo

I also think we need one more wing type unless Ferg is apart of the plan for that.

How about a sign and trade of Bertans going in and Scott+Smith+TPE+any second rounder that Washington wants going out?

Still looking like Noel with another guard being signed as well. Augustin is towards top and Rivers would be an option if money is an issue. Also trying to move Scott.

Do you think they try to get rid of Zhaire or Ferguson? Not that many roster spots left

Buddy is definitely overrated but come on, that deal for Tobias would be a must-do.

Totally fine with grabbing Noel and a guard and calling it an offseason. Anything we get back for Scott is just gravy at this moment.

Getting Augustine and Noel for similar money to what we gave Scott and Ennis last year would be impressive.

Good luck to him, but agree with this move, he did not look like an NBA player to me. Hopeful for the young man that he gets another chance somewhere and proves me wrong.

We can't do much of anything with Ferguson at the moment since he is held up in the Horford/Green trade timing/ If he doesn't get here till the 8th, he could not be aggregated again until some time (which I am not looking up) after that.

Get us another rim protector, a PG who can create off the bench, even if it is deep bench and a replacement for Scott as a 3-4 guy who is stouter defensively and could start in an injury pinch.

It’s the same amount of time I think, ~20 days.

Any word on whether Ersan is still a realistic option for us?

He’s an option if money is right. Still think their top two priorities are backup C and guard. Rosters spots are tight so other moves would depend on trades
