Giannis just went live on IG, was ready for an Adam Silver rant, but turns out he's just singing in the car and going through a drive-thru.
Regardless, he's clearly in Greece so not in MKE for a photo-op with supermax at 5PM

True, I will instead now choose to think that he's is hitting up all his favorite spots before getting on a flight tomorrow...

Can I just ask why you like him so much? Not throwing shade, I haven't watched him at all. Looking at his Big West (yikes) stats don't inspire much confidence. He did go to the same high school as Rashad Vaughn though. That's neat.

He’s got a great first step. He gets to the line a ton. He can defend 4 positions. They even started him at PG one game, and a lot of times they put him on the lead ball handler on defense to finish games. He has pretty solid moves in the post with his back to the basket. I mean we are talking undrafted free agent here, if he sucks in training camp then cut him.

He’s a bucket and not just in college, he tore up adidas nations too vs some of the top recruits.

#1) LAMINE DIANE, 6'7, SG/SF, 18.7 YEARS OLD, SENEGAL EWA: 2.1 PER: 33.5 TS%: 61.4% 27.7 PTS, 6.2 REB, 1.5 AST, 1.8 STL, 14-43 3P%, 26-39 FT%, 53.3 FG% Leading the event at 28 points per game (nearly a point per minute), and helping his team to a fourth place finish, Lamine Diane had a breakout performance that will undoubtedly jump-start his college recruitment heading into his senior year at Findlay Prep. A product of Giving Back Academy in Senegal, Diane was uncovered at the 2014 NBA Basketball Without Borders Africa camp in South Africa, earning an invite to the BWB Global Camp in New York City over All-Star weekend the following February. He has made huge strides with his skill-level since, evidenced by his explosive scoring performances in Los Angeles, where he was one of the oldest players at the event. Blessed with a strong frame, long arms, big hands, and solid athleticism, Diane is an extremely aggressive offensive player who loves to drive incisively to the basket, using an array of spin-moves and footwork to draw fouls out of isolation sets. His shooting stroke is long and somewhat unorthodox, but he finds decent results with it, throwing in 13 3-pointers in six games, albeit on pedestrian percentages (33%), partially due to his poor shot-selection. Very ball-dominant, Diane is still figuring out how to operate in a team concept, as he tends to overdribble, lower his shoulder and try to bully his way to the rim using his superior strength, long strides, and tremendous length to help him get a shot off if he can't draw a foul. The fact that he's not freakishly athletic (especially in terms of explosiveness) will mean he has to continue to add polish and feel to his game. Tightening his ball-handling skills, learning how to operate without the ball, and becoming a more unselfish player will be big keys for him to reaching his full potential. Defensively, Diane can cover ground well and has the length to emerge as a multi-positional stopper if he puts his mind to it, but tends to go through the motions at times on this end of the floor. Diane benefited from the wide open nature of this camp, as well as the incredible amount of freedom he enjoyed to do virtually whatever he pleased offensively, but it's tough to argue with the results he saw. It's difficult to find lengthy wings in his mold who can put the ball in the basket, as well as display good potential defensively, so he is certainly a player to monitor heading towards the college level. - Source: http://www.draftexpress.com/article/The-Top-Ten-Performers-at-the-2016-adidas-Nations-5640/ ©DraftExpress

Lamine Diane: 6-7, 190 (Findlay Prep, NV) Age: 18
Position: Wing
Team: Africa

The soon to be 19-year-old from Senegal led Nations in scoring, showing the ability to effortlessly get into the lane with his long-strides and either finish with fantastic length extension or get to the line. He did all this despite having a really loose handle and often times just attacking when defended by 3 guys near the basket and somehow making it work. NBA scouts were pining for Diane to pass the ball in the third place game, having taken 22 shots through 3 quarters against Team Rose. Diane definitely gets tunnel vision, and he desperately needs to refine his dribbling to be able to make an impact in the NBA down the road. But you can’t argue with the production at Nations.

If u watch his college film he looks just like Siakam did in college

Would love to get Diane (pronounced djuh-NAY) on a 2 way. IMO worth it just to get a chance to evaluate him against high level competition.

Really don't have an opinion on him but if he's highly talented but not NBA ready (which seems to be the case), we should instead use part of the MLE to give him a long term deal. I feel like half the league is using two-ways the wrong way.

Any ideas for a straight up DJ Wilson trade that actually gives us, let's say a 9th man?
Does anybody think Wilson will take a leap (or at least improve) this year?

I like Jrue, but if we don't get Bogdan, would we have been better off with Bledsoe, Hill, the 24th pick, and all those future 1sts?

I agree, unless Giannis signs of course. How much more expensive would Beal have been? Doesn't the Jrue package at least get us close?

He’s 23, physically ready for the NBA. His shot needs work but he can score right now like a Beasley. Two way is the safest way to go

Why on earth do people keep bringing up Beal as an alternative option to this?

They don't want to trade him and he doesn't want to leave so explain to me why people think they are open to the idea of trading him?

Exactly. Only way we would get Beal right now is if we gave them Giannis

Unless the Bucks really trying hard to get another tampering violation (with their own player again, too).

If Beal paired with Giannis, all three firsts would be 28-30 and none of the swaps would materialize.

Bledsoe has almost no value and Hill has no value

Thats why despite the picks looking the sameish the AD package was infinitely better than the jrue package. They gave up young players with big potential.

The jrue package is the illusion of value.

I don't expect DJ to improve at all going forward. I think he's into fashion more than basketball.

Then he's exactly the type of guy I'd target with a two-way. Sadly the Bucks brass thinks differently...

I have several ideas for what we can get for DJ, but the realgm filter would turn them all into *************.

IF we somehow were able to sign Harris using the MLE
IF we were able to keep DiVo & re-gruntle him
AND
IF Giannis agreed to the 5 yr supermax right quick to cut into those draft pick concessions

I'd be content, maybe even happy w/ the offseason, in spite of all the hand-wringing. But those are big ifs.
