Seems like Korkmaz won’t be part of the rotation next year based on these rumored signings.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Barlow/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Any word on whether Ersan is still a realistic option for us?

He’s an option if money is right. Still think their top two priorities are backup C and guard. Rosters spots are tight so other moves would depend on trades

I would think we sign Nerlens and then use Scott plus whatever else salary and or picks it takes to get a guard. Smith? Kork? That’s where my money would be

Even with Shayok and Pelle being waived, they signed another 2 way, and assuming 1 of either Reed or Joe are 2 ways, there are 15 roster guys and 2 listed as 2 ways.

Does that mean we have 2 spots left or are the current 15 (including the 2 way spots) all we can have?

I would say he will be moved with Scott and potentially smith. That’s roughly 10 million salary wise. Throw in a first and Dinwiddie makes 11.4. That’s a pipe dream but I do think that combo plus a first gets us a starting level guard

Don’t think they plan on joe being a 2 way. Sounds like he could get a 4 year hinkie special

Disagree. Korkmaz is our best bench wing shooter. Bringing in a big and a PG has nothing to do with him.

Kork has a place here unless they already know they can't resign him next summer. If that's the case then it could make sense to trade him for value now.

Devone Graham sign and trade for Scott, Kork, smith, a first, and a second?

Maybe Scott, smith, and two seconds for Drose? Maybe just 1 second?

I think Reed gets the other two way and Joe is on roster. Not sure if they can have 15 or 17 players with the new CBA.
Scott, Korkmaz, Zhaire (less likely) can be moved if additional spots are needed.

Glad I don't have to read more about Shayok becoming the next star. Dude won't make it in the league on any team.

I'd still be interesting in bringing in Brad Wanamaker. Celtics tax is absolutely real and every single leprechaun player gets an attribute boost when they play the Sixers, but he's a tough two way guard that defends hard, can run some point and space the floor. Decent size too.

Current Roster (by defensive positions) w/2 FA signings (DJ Augustin and Nerlens Noel):

PG Curry | DJ | Maxey | Dakota (2)
SG Green | Shake | Smith | Joe
SF Ben | Thybulle | Ferg
PF Harris | Kork | Scott
CE Embiid | Noel | Reed (2)

That would be 15 spots taken + two 2-way spots also. Would need to clear a spot to sign a guy like Ilyasova or Jeff Green. That's the biggest need, a stretch 4 who can also play small ball Center w/Ben.

I think they'll want to keep Scott as salary ballast for future trades instead of cutting him.

Potential small moves to clear spots, in order of likelihood:

1) Roster consolidation trade
2) Cut or salary dump trade Ferguson
3) Cut or salary dump trade Scott
4) Cut or salary dump trade or trade for picks Smith
4) Trade for picks Kork
5) Trade Green for picks only (unlikely) and start Thybulle

Sooner or later I'd like to see a decent size wing (6'8'') on this roster.
We are smaller or taller than that size.

Considering we only get 1 cheap year then will need to pay him a massive contract, I wouldn't pay that much in trade.

I wouldn't mind him over DJ, but I think they want a pure PG who can run the P&R since we don't have one. Overall he's probably a better player than DJ at this point, plus younger. Philly guy to boot.

More so meant he opts out and we get him for like 4/56

I don't think he can opt out. I believe he's under team control for dirt cheap next year.

Np. On a strategic level, I don't see us paying big money for a pure PG this year. They're going to try w/Ben running the team one more time, with a shooting combo guard (Seth Curry).

That's why the interest in DJ, because he won't get big money and should be content to be a backup.
