That's why we'd ask for draft compensation. It probably doesn't matter though, the Thunder have no need to increase their cap space, so I'd be surprised if they look to move Horford.

we can just not take him, still be bad, and still be in a good spot for the draft though lol

I'd rather Mitch not count on the lottery being kind to us again. It would be nice to have an asset other than cap space and our own picks to facilitate trades.

The Clippers are exploring a deal for Rozier according to Sports Illustrated:

I imagine it would be a sign and trade for Montrezl.

Clippers legit have nothing I want.

They don't own their own first rounder until 2027 (swap rights or traded rights) and they don't own anyone elses.

Roster wise they aren't trading PG or Kawhi. They have no young players I want with Mann or Kabengele.

So that leaves a bunch of meh guys in Beverly, Zubac, Lou Williams or Jamychal Green.. and without any first rounders to attach I don't think any of them do anything for me.

If we are going to trade Rozier I think we could find a much better trade partner.

No interest in Montrezl Harrell?

Personally, I don't want Montrezl. He doesn't do enough things well to pay him starter money. I like Carey more going forward. So yeah I agree, don't see much there to trade for other than Kennard.

Harrell is a free agent. If want him we could just sign him. Terry is worth a first round pick at minimum so yeah I don't love idea of just giving him away to help a contender.

Didn't realize LAC got 4(!) 2nd round picks in addition to Kennard (3 of them from Detroit), really nice move for them.

Those are about the only assets that are interesting, unless they wanna send over Oturu.

Beverley would probably have to be included. Having a veteran guard around for Ball/Graham isn't the worst thing, but that contract is a year longer than Rozier's.

I don't know, feels like there should be better options.

And yeah, we have capspace. If we really wanted Harrell (of which I don't) then we don't need to give anything to LAC.

I'm still all over Ersan İlyasova as a low cost PF vet that could come in and play hard without stealing minutes from the young guys.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Rozier to Clips would have to be a S&T with Harrell. They don't have matching salary outside of Bev, and it doesn't really make sense to trade Rozier for Bev unless we are getting multiple 2nds back.

I personally don't want Harrell but would be fine with a 2 yr/18 mil deal. If it was a S&T then Harrell would be needing to make something around the 13-14 mil mark. Way too much for him.

Would have to be a 3 way deal to get us draft compensation or Kennard.

Not sure what else would be involved here, surely we wouldn't take him for nothing.

I'm all for trading Rozier and really taking our lumps this season. We really need one of those top 4 guys in the 2021 draft. All are Zion or better quality.

Windhorst said earlier on TV this morning that us and the Knicks have had discussions with Hayward and if he signs outright it’d be with one of those two. Mentioned Pacers in a S&T as his likely preferred destination.

I'd be pissed if we sign Hayward.
