Robin was scared or our incompetent FO.

While he declined his $5 million player option for next season late last week, Robin Lopez isn’t necessarily destined to leave the Bucks. A league source tells The Athletic his decision was motivated by a desire to keep his freedom to choose where he plays next season and avoid getting thrown into a trade by the Bucks

I keep seeing Joe Harris will get 15-20 mil a year, not the MLE

This has nothing to with perceived competence or incompetence of the front office. He just didn't want to be guaranteed to have zero options on where he plays next season.

Even with DDV, we will still need at least 1 sg for depth.

I saw someone post this in a different thread but the biggest thing Bogdan brought to us was another shot creator. Are there any guys out there in FA that we can get that could be a third shot creator behind Giannis & Khris?

Need a flame thrower. Maybe Hammond can give us Ross or something.

I’m afraid we will be completely underwhelmed with plan B.

Baynes would be nice as a backup C.
Pat resigned.

We should be able to get them with the MLE and BAE, right?

Jrue/Mason
DDV/Pat/Merrill
Middleton/Justin
Giannis/Nwora/DJ
Brook/Baynes

So we just gave up 3 first round picks for that?
You can be happy with that?

This team is worse than last year, no bench at all, one injury and we are done...

Yeah, but that trade would be weird. It would either have to be a Middleton deal, or brook and Donte with us taking back more salary. I don’t think Chicago would be interested in that package at all.

Edit: I forgot we had DJ, so it would be DJ, Brook, Donte to get salaries to roughly match. Still isn’t a very good trade package, and now we have even less depth.

If Giannis signs it’s only because of money

Adjusting the New Orleans deal to include Redick might be our best move.

I truly hope they're both back. I like having a good chemistry team, and they're clearly both role players anyway. It's not like your other options aren't also role players. RoLo needs to be a situational big, but he's still worth a spot in case of a Brook injury, which historically has been an issue despite his better injury luck recently. Wes is a nice complement to the high-usage guys in the starting lineup, they need his defense, and he has NEVER hit less than 36% of his 3's in a season. Even Redd, Ray, Khris, and George Hill have at least one season under 36% on their resumes. (I fully understand the difference in how many open 3's they might each have been getting, but still.)

I don’t even want Donte back, I already cut him out of my life by early Tuesday morning. Now when I think about Donte on the team all I think about is the Bogdan disaster.

Redick is a really nice complement to Hill, Bledsoe, Ingram, and Zion. Not sure how this is done but I'm sure as **** not with giving even more **** to NOP for Redick at his age, which is what it would take.

I agree, it be tough to get him, just wishful thinking. I probably don't want to give up Brook yet...so yeah prob unlikely.

I have a feeling the rest of the off-season will be underwhelming.

Probably end up doing something silly like splitting the MLE between Wes and Teague and then brining back Robin Pat and Korver

Jrue/Teague/Mason
Donte/Wes/Merrill
Khris/Pat/Korver
Giannis/DJ/Nwora
Brook/Robin

Own the future
