Yep, but low dollar cost. So if they were to sign him, they might need to do some smaller separate deal to give the Wiz something. Can’t do a sign and trade for cap reasons I believe.

Sniffing around is different than eminent, so we’ll see what happens

I think Miami gives him a 15-20M 1 year deal (along with Crowder) to keep the max slot open for '21.

I think we should take a look at Kris Dunn. The shooting isn't there but can defend and play point for the second unit or to free up Curry. Not the same without Klay, but with Curry having guys who can defend, drive and pass helps create offense whether from pushing the pace off of stops or making the right play Curry's gravity allows against a scrambling defense. Not Marcus Smart level of defensive versatility but some of the traits that made him an appealing fit.

Here’s a write up of him from the Athletic

Garrison Mathews (R), Washington — $4,320,746

The second-best one-T Mathews on my board after Eddie, Garrison played 18 games as a two-way player for the Wizards and showed he can stroooooke it: 41.3 percent from 3 and 91.2 percent from the line. He only took 10 2-point shots all season, but why bother if he’s ripping it from 3 like this. More surprisingly, Mathews proved somewhat competent defensively, offering glimpses of hope that he can add a bit of “D” to his “3-and.” It seems like a multi-year minimum deal is more likely than the number above, but Washington definitely should hang on to him.

How about Ryan Broekhoff? I think he checks almost all the boxes:

  • Good Size. 6'7 Swing man.
  • Solid rebounder.
  • Excellent teammate/brings no issues.
  • 40% 3PG career shooting.
  • Cheap.

I can’t believe we didn’t sign Howard. All it took was 2.7 mil for one season.

Trez to Lakers means Gasol is more likely for Warriors.

Is the NBA going to have anything to say about an agent sending all their players to the Lakers? A player and an agent effectively running a team seems a bit broken.

I don’t think we need to spend on a center. I think it’s all about a guard that can really shoot.

Smart players who can do it all. I had really hoped they'd be able to get Justin Holiday, but he just signed with the Pacers.
