I think they might be trying to re-structure that. It's odd that the Jrue deal hasn't been confirmed yet. One can hope they are re-structuring to keep Hill but not sure how that works unless we switch DJ and DDV into that but still don't think that matches salaries. Hard to see how we can keep Hill without completely cancelling the trade now that we've waived Ersan

I just want to see how the Bucks will react if Bogdan goes to the Lakers after all that has happened.

This is absolutely comedy gold (or drama depending on your perspective).

I've liked both of them for a while. Yes Bogdan would've helped us more in last years playoffs, but you can't just ignore an entire side of the ball. The gap between what Bogdon gives you on defense vs Donte is massive. With incremental offensive improvements I could definitely see Donte being better than Bogdon down the road, I was saying as much when we thought the deal was going down. Also didn't help Donte had to play with Bledsoe and bubble Hill in last years playoffs, Jrue should help him

Ron Wolf. former Packers GM years ago wrote a book about his long time as an NFL GM. In that book, i remember him saying that a few of the best things to happen were moves he wanted to make, but that fell through for a variety of reasons. We can at least hope this happens with this Bogdan/Donte trade falling through.

It's not as if DiVincenzo has such an ugly and broken down form on his jumper that him becoming a 35% or better three point shooter is a pipe dream. He shot 33.6% last year and assuming that he's worked hard this offseason on improving that percentage, a few percent increase isn't unrealistic. Mix in his defense, not losing him could potentially end up being a good thing for the team.

I hope the Bucks go public with some kind of statement after the dust settles.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

The agent didn’t just back out for no reason. Bucks and Kings agreed to a trade that would’ve resulted in Bogs losing 15-20M. That’s a much bigger deal than the agent backing out. Just follow the money, if people are mad at the agent, they should be mad at the Bucks and Kings for screwing over Bogs

The assumption is Boggie agreed to the deal. Not sure how this is different than Morris verbally agreeing to the Spurs offer (which was outside the legal period) and then backing out when he realized the Knicks were willing to offer more. Everyone hated Morris for that move and it was so egregious that Rich paul split with him. Yeah some team might have come back and offered more money but a verbal agreement is rock solid in the nba and agents reputations are destroyed for breaking it.

Those are two different scenarios. Bogs didn’t back out because another team offered him more like Morris. He backed out because the original S&T was edited and then agreed upon, resulting in Bogs losing 15-20M.

I don't have it in me to continue to explain this.

If Giannis resigns then we're all good.

If he doesn't and waits to see how the season plays out, we're in massive trouble. You know what we gave up and you know what the stakes are.

I was looking forward to watching the team with Bogi. Sounded like fun basketball. Oh well...

But you know what is next best fun bball (besides Giannis ofcourse)? Donte flying around in defense. And that mormon kid coming off the bench imitating JJ Redick and Dunkan Robinson.

I really want to watch that, so I say no to any half baked plan Bs for mediocre wings. A vet min guy is fine for depth.

If the front office wants another big move, I would center my attention around a mobile 4/5 combo. Our other big deficiency is slow footed Brook in the playoffs trying to cover the pick and pop and similar plays. We need someone there. I know Brook is the anchor of the defense and all that, but is that system even good enough in the playoffs?

The correct play is to do whatever Giannis wants if he commits to signing. If the moves don't work and he eventually asks for a trade, we will at least get something in return.

If Bogdanovic signs with the Lakers just forfeit the season already. There is no point.
We will hit the peak point of embarrassment even before the season opener in a season we suppossed to go all in to convice Giannis to stay.
