Lackluster draft on our part again. Everyone wheeling and dealing and we stand pat again. Teams in the East are getting better while we're getting older and not doing anything. Kind of depressing when I look at Sixers clear up some of their crap and make a more cohesive roster. I don't rate Pascal as highly as most of you do hopefully, Lowry still in top form. We go as far as he'll take us, and it's always been that way.

If Ibaka leaves we're going to need a couple of centers that can combine for at least 20 ppg and solid defense. A healthy rotation of Gasol as a starter and Ibaka as a sub, combined for 20.2 ppg.

Giles could be a very useful pickup with the MLE.
If we move somebody to haul in another big to rotate with Giles that would be great. If not, we can give Dewan a shot.

You're right! Clearly a lazy and incompetent management group

We sure have been spoiled, but it's going to be a fun year, even if both Ibaka and Fred leave. We'll stock up and still have that Max slot in 2021.

Personally I want Gasol back more than Serge.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

The best thing is, our "down year" is only 72 games long. Raps won a championship, then won a ton of regular season games, then won a ton of bubble games - it's okay to have a step back year.

Step back year = probabilities of
playoffs 85%
Second round 50%
East finals 15%
Finals 5%
Chip 1%
I’ll take that

This has likely been discussed already, but Grange wrote an article the other day that hit home with me. It feels like the Raps are falling behind while other Eastern teams are improving:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article/draft-raptors-need-evolve-risk-getting-pushed-aside/

the Raptors' challenge seems clear: evolve or get pushed aside in a rapidly improving Eastern Conference.....The real tears will come if the Raptors emerge from free agency with their new first-round pick as the only significant addition of the off-season or having lost some of the pieces they’ve come to depend on.

The NBA will pass you by if you stand still.

Why would we sign OG right now? Would kill our max slot.

I can't believe the amount of doom and gloom in here because teams like the Sixers are "getting better". We've had a better decade than any team in our division, and a lot of teams in the league - it's okay if we take a step back. Jeez.

I hope Masai is reaching out to Christian wood. We want serge back but we can’t waste time playing his game to up his value while other big’s fly off the market in a short time.

What did I tell you guys, Lakers want Gasol because he is literally the remaining father in the league who will shut down the best big men in the game including AD.

Looks like the Raps are just going to bring everyone back. And ... why the hell not?
