Detroit is just odd. They traded for the Hawks center yesterday and today........

Very odd. Gave away Drummond for peanuts, traded 2021 first, letting Christian Wood walk, and replacing him with Okafor/Plumlee.

Imagine carlisle in training trying to teach 5 rookies at the same time...

I know everyone on the team outside of Luka and KP are up for grabs but I like the idea of having 4 wing defenders (including DFS). That takes a lot of pressure off Luka from having to guard the others teams first or second best scorer.

And with Carlisle teaching the rookies... think about him having to do it in less than a month before the start of the season.

Christian Wood actually does make a lot of sense considering the coaches know him from Summer League and he knows the system (somewhat). I think he would fit great as far as playing style. He doesn’t really strike me as that 3rd star though.

Maybe the Mavs won’t be able to land that star this season but adding Wood to the team would work great for the future. He’d be another building block to a great team.

Wood makes sense now for the Mavs, but they may have too much competition to play in that sandbox.

I'm sure they're working on something... and I got nothing. Something will probably happen at midnight after most of us have gone to bed.

Also... Ibaka apparently is generating interest from everyone. So don't expect that one to fall this way.

Grant is supposedly resigning with Denver.

Serge Ibaka has many options. If he's going to be a Mav I hope he stays with Toronto.
