Re: Fixing the Mess Pt. 2 Sixers Offseason
What is the projected starting lineup?
PG : Ben Simmon/Shake Milton/Tyrese Maxey
SG:??/Seth Curry/Shake Milton/ Tyrese
SF:Danny Green/Mathisse/Furkan
PF:Tobias Harris/Ben Simmons/Paul Reed
C:Joel/Paul Reed
We are missing a back up PG a starting SG and a Back up Center.
Is there a possibility shake or matisse start?

If I were a Detroit fan I'd be pissed seeing them committing to any long term deals let alone an overpay for Plumlee.davesilver wrote:nitocobola wrote:ok, the pistons are actually worse managed than the knicks at this point.
No that they signed Plumlee, is Wood a possibility for a deal / S+T? Could we afford him?

So curious to find out what the hell happened
I imagine that either the Kings went KANGZ and didn't loop Bogs and his agent in to discussions, or some other team offered more money after the fact and Bogs decided to back out.

Apparently they agreed to the trade with Bledsoe in it but then the holiday trade happened and because of matching rules Bog suddenly wasnt gonna get as much money as he hoped.

My guess is the league said no, and that there would be repercussions if they decided to proceed

Ugh, Okafor signed with the Pistons. My dream of reuniting Embiid, Noel, and Okafor has died.

Lmao what? In what world would he help us? Essentially the same player, with slightly quicker reaction time on his post moves.76thBearCub wrote:eyeatoma wrote:I want no part of Okafor.BullyKing wrote:Ugh, Okafor signed with the Pistons. My dream of reuniting Embiid, Noel, and Okafor has died.

With so many silly statements people make online it gets hard to tell when people are being serious or just goofing around.

I like Okafor! Always have rooted for the guy. He's like an Evan Turner. You don't want him to suck but they do for the most part. Hopefully he gets a ton of opportunity in Detroit. The guy can score in his sleep. Detroit is going to be bad anyway so why not let Okafor pump his stats and have some fun?

Re: Fixing the Mess Pt. 2 Sixers Offseason
I know everyone has been saying that the FA class has been bad, but man...not only does it lack stars, but truly pivotal role players are few and far between too.
I agree with Morey: the team you go into training camp with doesn't need to be the complete team. Because of that, I would do very few things over the next 10 days.
-MLE on a backup center. Meyers Leonard was my preferred option because I like his fit with Simmons, but Nerlens Noel will do just fine.
-Use the Vet Min on a PG. Honestly, wouldn't mind taking a swing on someone like Chris Chiozza. Small as **** but he'll still grind defensively.
Here's the 15...
PG Ben Simmons
PG Shake Milton
PG Chris Chiozza
SG Seth Curry
SG Tyrese Maxey
SG Furkan Korkmaz
SG Zhaire Smith
SG Isaiah Joe
SF Danny Green
SF Matisse Thybulle
SF Terrence Ferguson
PF Tobias Harris
PF Mike Scott
C Joel Embiid
C Nerlens Noel
Might need another C for nights that Embiid has off, so maybe Joe does get a 2-way. But I'd rather see what Shake has, while keeping Scott/Ferguson/Zhaire for a move for a $15M player.

I don't think they'll trade for another player making that much. There much more likely to give Zhaire Smith and Mike Scott away to a team with salary cap space, so they can get under the luxury tax.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down
