Maybe he wants as many lob opportunities for Hayes to throw as possible?

I'll never understand why Detroit perennially insists on signing low level free agents minutes into free agency.

Ok, this had me laughing. Does anyone else remember the 2000's when the Knicks had like 10 power forwards on their team and kept signing more? Everyone was confused as hell.

I am getting that feeling here.

Maybe he has a secret plan to splice these centers into one power-center.

Bundle three in a swap for Drummond, most likely.

Esp this season not many teams have cap space. So we blow ours minutes in on the scrubs.

He's a backup in Denver because Jokic is there. He started for Portland.

Stewart can play the 4 too though

Okafor & Bradley are a shot at potential.

Plumlee and Dedmon are vets that won't won us games but will help the kids.

Personally I don't have a problem with any of these guys...but you can't play them all!

96 minutes at the 4/5:

Griffin 28
Stewart 24
Plumlee 24
Okafor/Bradley 20

?

Plumlee-Stewart-Okafor our centers I assume for the next five minutes. Must have a draft for Dedmon and Bradley already. Wood surely gone at this point - walking for nothing.

Let’s stop talking about Okafor as though the move matters.

It’s veteran minimum. Cap neutral. Even if he barely plays it’s no issue.

I’m actually not THAT upset about the Plumlee deal if the third year isn’t guaranteed. In that case it’s over when Blake is.

This isn't being talked about enough. He tried really hard to trade up to 3 for Williams, would have probably given up 7+16 at minimum. This board would have self destructed if he made that trade and not picked LaMelo. Even making that trade and picking LaMelo would have been tough to take.

He doesn't sound like the brightest bulb in his pressers and a lot of these moves are mirroring the way he sounds.

One more thought about Plumlee-

Everything we were desperate to see out of Drummond, and never did, you'll see out of Plumlee.

One interesting thing is with free agency 2 days later the rights to these players are still in the back pockets.

So Stewart isn't a lock but I imagine im looking to far into this.

Okafor on minimum deal.

There is literally zero evidence this is true. You asserting this based off one random tweet from a Chicago media member. Nobody big like Woj or Shams even mentioned this

Should of just signed Okafor to the vet min and been done at that position. Plumlee might even be worth this contract but I have no interest in him for 3 years right now
