Okafor & Bradley are a shot at potential.

Plumlee and Dedmon are vets that won't won us games but will help the kids.

Personally I don't have a problem with any of these guys...but you can't play them all!

96 minutes at the 4/5:

Griffin 28
Stewart 24
Plumlee 24
Okafor/Bradley 20

Sekou and Bey will be out there at the 4 sometimes I imagine.

Or that seemed like the plan.

Still hoping and praying the third year is an option.

There has to be other moves coming because the roster is incredibly unbalanced but even if there weren’t it literally doesn’t matter who the team signs. They could fill the roster with the Toledo mudhens for the next few years because this team is going to SUCK.

Assume Wood signs a 70M offer from Charlotte. Then wait and see where Dedmon is flipped.

This is about the last deal that I expected us to make. I don't understand the logic whatsoever. I don't see the end game nor any short/long term gain. Just committing money to a league average center when we already have a couple and struggling to keep one because...

I'll say this for Dedmond, McGruder and Plumlee-
They are professional, hard working competitors, and play defense. The new gm is setting a tone, if nothing else.

Yeah, beyond awful.

Better to bring in an undrafted free agent for 1 million.

Keep that 9 million to bring on some guy and a pick.

Long term it doesnt make any sense. A team full of rookies and a 30 year old journeyman? I'd rather spend the money on Wood. Or really anyone with upside.

Derrick Favors 3/30, as a point of comparison.

When Detroit signs low tier FA right out of the gates, its always safe to assume it was an overpay.

In this case the annual figure is probably about right, but 3 years though?

This also says nothing as to the fit/logic/purpose of the signing. Which in the case of Plumlee doesn't make sense on any of those accounts.

Perhaps the strategy is to sign whatever the best deals are regardless of player to lad up on tradeable assets for future trades. If we are stockpiling centers, maybe he's hoping a contender has injury issues mid season and will offer us a late 1st round pick for one of our centers?

No one's taking Griffin right now with that contract. He's stuck here until at least the deadline and until he proves he's healthy and doesn't suck like last year.

This Plumlee deal is terrible!!!

We should have used this money to re-up Wood
