Scoot's fighting the good fight trying to bring some neutrality, but it's falling on deaf ears.

From the Boston media, the Celtics locker room is a toxic environment. Bunch of young egos: Smart, Brown, Tatum all who fight for shots and all think "they're the man". Add Kemba who was "the man" in Charlotte and you have a mess. No wonder Hayward wants out of there.

If Hayward really wants to play in Indiana he needs to give the team a home town discount. No more than $18 million with raises for 4 years. I would play hard ball with the him and the Celtics if they want anything back for him it's Doug and Lamb and maybe a #1 in 23 with lottery protections and becomes 2 2nds after 3 years.

It's quite unlikely that they retain Hayward, even if he re-signs at $20m

If they can't get any value out of a S&T, it's likely they just let Hayward go, signing with a cap space team with no compensation for Celtics

So now we sit back with some toasted pine nuts and watch them lose Hayward for nothing

Jesus. They really make us look like Mensa candidates. It will be even funnier if this Hayward thing goes through because on the trades and transaction thread they told us no way Hayward has this much value etc....be even better if somehow we get dipo and turner they were adamant dipo had way more value then we thought

I seriously doubt Ainge is going to pull off the most lopsided of the deals that have been mentioned, but their utter certainty that they are 100% in the driver's seat and Boston is going down in flames unless we take whatever they deign to give us...

I'm not one to troll, but I really want to be there when they realize how wrong a read they had on the situation.

there's rumors many of these moves aren't for them but for a team via S & T. I hope so for their sake because collecting backup centers doesn't equate to wins.
