I mean a former Cliffy guy in MCW did alright with our reclamation project. So why not Bacon as well?

why did we have to go into the trash can to get dwyane bacon? to appease clifford? If this was the move then why not just keep wes? Wes is the better player of the two, i don't get it would Wes be more expensive? He definitely isn't going to start so......wait...as i'm tying this i realize he could take minutes from Chuma....knowing clifford who you think he'll give more opportunities to the vet or the rook? scary to think about, i would like to think that wouldn't happen but it's clifford......

Wes was slightly more expensive. His RFA qualifying offer was $2,023,150.

The Magic will be paying Bacon $1,620,564.

Never enough 6'6 bodies who have potential to score. I guess Cliffford must have seen something in him. Not sexy, but as a third stringer should get it done. Last year we were starved for wings so at least its a logical move.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

In 2018/19 he his a high percentage on a high volume of 3-balls. That must be what Orlando is expecting him to re-find.

Bacon is an offensive upgrade over Iwundu. Not sure what you are expecting.

There is no comparison between Iwundu and Bacon offensive ability.

Both carrier highs for players. Ball handling and one on one scoring is not even close. Yes Iwundu was good defensively, but Bacon is 6'6 with 6'10 wingspan and nba athletecism and we really need scoring.
I made a little research and Bacon seems like a great teammate. He even asked to be sent to g-league last year becouse he wanted to play so much. Looks like a good gamble for the minimal price.

He's the guy our front office said, "why do we need to trade up in the draft when we can get Dwayne Bacon?"

He's the guy they had in mind when Weltman was asked why they traded out of the 2nd the day before the draft, and he said they needed to keep flexibility and open roster spots for.
I look forward to following his career in the German league.

I'm only 6 degrees separated from him. I'll see if I can get him on the phone. I'm sure he still knows how to do the Jimmy Dolan Shake and Bake.

IKR. If Cliff can get the most out of these guys and they play well for us then I'm on board.

I like the signing. Definitely an upgrade over Iwundu. Bacon was the #1 option at Florida State when JI was there and the "reason" why JI didn't show much offense in college so he's definitely more of an offensive spark off the bench. He's also got the potential to outplay Ennis to take over the starter role next year with Isaac out if Chuma isn't ready.
