All I've seen is picks for Adams. No players at all. Did the pelicans have cap space to absorb Adams?

I think it's just more a function of circumstance. They have a bunch of capspace, limited players interested in playing there, and few ways to acquire players that fit their roster.

Possibly. There have been a lot of rumblings about the hawks not wanting to pay him for a while.

The only team I'm rooting against is the thunder. This year is going to suck probably worse than all of them for the tank. At least starting next year we might have a few more young guys and more development from the existing ones. This year is a necessary evil of rebuilding.

yeah worst year as a Thunder fan. We are lucky it's going to be a short season...

Dreaming a bit about Collins but not sure it's worth to give up a lot of value to give him a max salary

It seems like Presti is valuing picks over prospects at the moment. It would be nice to snag a young guy like that but Sam seems committed to his rebuild plan of building through the draft.

I'm not sure. Is sam really valuing picks over prospects or is it the easiest thing he can get right now?

We had no good enough player to trade for a young star...

We made 7 ''big'' trades (8 with Poirier). Insane offseason...

Add Ariza to the list of guys we got five years late btw.

I disagree that this will be the worst season as a thunder fan. If maledon and poku get playing time this will be fun.

I agree. Plus we are going to learn a lot about just how good Shai is as a scorer and whether he’s actually a PG. And we are going to lean more on bazley, I’m sure.

Losing sucks, but I love the developmental process when you have a competent organization. It sucks when your GM is Vlade Divac and your owner is Rivac, but that’s not our situation.

For me it depends on how they look. I can find reasons for optimism in little things for young guys. I think its going to be rough for them though. Shai too. We'll miss the veteran guys.

Even if Poku and Theo completely suck I'll find gratification in the season is Dort, SGA and Baze look like they are continuing to progress. Poku and Theo looking like anything at all will just be gravy to me.

I'm going to call it now. Shai takes what appears to be a step back this year but it will make him much better in the long run.

we will almost certainly at least have to take back eric bledsoe or george hill. unless something nuts happens. the pelicans do not have cap room due to brandon ingram's cap hold.

If shai doesn't provide awful efficiency both passing and shooting this season I'll be shocked. I'm not convinced it'll be good for him in the long run though, I don't think he's quite talented enough for the do what I want season, so daignault will have a real balancing act letting him progress as a scorer while not going off the rails.

if shai doesn't make a leap which would justify the rookie extension he is likely to desire, i expect he'll get traded next summer.

Bledsoe seems most likely, right? You'd think more value could be extracted from him before his contract runs out.
