How much cap space do we have and what’s the most we can pay KCP?

This was a puzzling move. The basically ended up trading 24 for that final year of his giant contract. I get they have a million picks but seems like a waste.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I dunno Adams is a pretty good player. Get a good look at him next Zion and maybe got a center you can resign for the foreseeable future. He's been around but he's still only 27 and has a lot of miles left.

Avery Bradley and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. KCP will get overpaid but the Bucks have to try to impress Giannis with the MLE. Avery Bradley hasn't been good for several years, but in the right situation maybe he can recapture that consummate glue guy magic he had with the Celtics, the same way Crowder did last year with the Heat.

It's a bad situation. I would kill to have Hill back. He could back-up Holiday or play alongside either him or DDV.
George Hill was so good for us, perfect fit. Including Hill in the Jrue trade was pretty stupid.

Hill was superb for us, and right now with this current roster like mentioned before he a more than ideal fit with DVD and Jrue.

We overpaid for Jrue clearly, we’ve have got in a great player who will make us better but it’s really hard to see it with any light after the Bogdan shambles and now limited cap space

I dont get some of the responses on Pat. We all know what Pat does. He's a regular season bench player. Hopefully the roster can be constructed where he doesn't get mins in the playoffs or Bud doesn't use him much unless the team is sucking, needs a jolt, or Patty is doing well at the time.

Why is this bad or are ppl complaining just to complain? At least its not even close to Delly Telly Snelly Henson money?

Idk, I just say meh, nice to see Patty C back.

Think I’d rather have Matthews instead of Pat

I agree with the George Hill comments. Unless there is a plan, we need alot right now.....lol and DJ Augustin is not the full answer to what we need.

I think the issue with the PatC signing is there is so many holes we need to address and he does nothing for that except filling out the bench. Pat is a good guy to have if you already have your 7-8 man rotation set.

Pat is an energy bench player who has improved his shooting enough to really earn this IMO. He is also a great guy and fits very well from a chemistry perspective.

All true, but they continue to have massive floor spacing issues. Also, you can make a pretty good argument that Zion should be there center.

I think it's pretty apparent that Wes simply chose to sign with the Lakers. I'm sure the Bucks would rather have him then Pat too.

So does the Patty C signing prevent us from further setting 7-8? Does his 4 million salary mess with us signing other players?

I'll continue to be of the belief that center Zion falls apart eventually.

If the Bucks, who have repeatedly chased Covington, don't sign his much cheaper clone, Greg Whittington, I'm going to be even more annoyed than I already am.

Also, any word on Chuck?

In fairness they got an impact player (Jrue). Probably the most impactful player they've acquired via trade since........fill in the blank, I can't remember.

The issue is that they gave up an unprecedented four years of drafts, four years into the future. So yes, if none of this works out, I fully expect the Lasry's to sell 51% control of the team to some guy in Seattle for one billion. They'd then use that money to pay off the arena debt ($250mm) per terms of the lease.

No doubt.

If Giannis bounces, this team is gone.

It’d be an aging team with no young assets or draft pick for 7(!) years into the future. It’d be bleak as hell. No way investment guys from New York don’t wash their hands of the mess they made and cash out.

At the same time, it's not that hard to acquire 1sts quickly again, look at OKC. Say Giannis left, we could flip Mids to a contender and take on a bad contract and get an absolute haul of picks and maybe a young asset. A lot of teams would love Middleton in their title push. Could flip Brook for another pick and then Jrue for a package too, maybe not as much as we gave up for him, but a couple 1sts at least.

You then be the team that takes on bad contracts and gets assets for it like OKC and you're suddenly flush with picks again.

Saying all this if Giannis is gone, life is pointless and I won't care about the NBA for a long time , if ever again at least to this extent.
