You really think Sam gives up on what they'll be selling as the face of the franchise based on how he plays with this roster?

i think sam will want to avoid RFA, as he always has, and either they meet at a number or he's traded. some of these marginal rookie extensions have made the market difficult (from team perspective).

His extension won't be prohibitive in a rebuild. Even if he demands the max that contract wouldn't keep you from being able to trade him if he shows no further improvement.

Any idea on what we are receiving from the Ariza trade? A couple of 2nds?

I really like the Al Horford rehab process now that Adams is gone. He didn't fit in the Sixers system but he was a beast in Boston. He's old and overpaid but can still be a great fit and help some contenders.

Bledsoe is in the same situation as Green albeit with a worse contract. He's not a bad player but he's getting piled on because of poor playoff performances.

Sam let Dre go in to RFA and kept him. So it's not a guarantee he is traded if he doesn't come to an agreement beforehand. I think offering him an overpay is more in line with Sam's history.

SO, we're getting Justin Jackson, right? Wonder if there's any chance he could be the next Jerami Grant type reclamation where this organization can kick start his stalled career?

There's sort of a sunk cost fallacy at work with SGA though. If they give him up next season they'd be selling for pennies on the dollar of a guy that was once considered the real 'get' in that trade. I think they'll retain him and hope he makes the jump.

It's good that Presti has pulled this off before so we can have confidence in what's trying to accomplish here. I do wonder though, considering the last time he did it the team was still in Seattle when this part of the process began (trading Ray Allen), if some of the locals/casuals around here will get a bit restless.

adding ariza and justin jackson for james johnson puts us at 15 players under contract assuming poku and maledon sign. 16 if you add bledsoe. more has to be coming.

Can’t believe we didn’t have to take back Bledsoe, what a deal. Absolutely can flip Hill later on

darius miller's $7 milion 2020-21 salary is not guaranteed until 11/24. i'm not sure of the logistics of this trade, it may not be possible to complete them prior to that date, but my guess is miller would be cut if it the trades can get completed monday.

Did the Wizards force us to take back Schofield in the trade or what?
