They didn't let Grant go. Grant reportedly wanted out, looking for elevated role on offense. He won't find that in Denver. They can re-sign Millsap after all their other business is done.

Seems like a poor decision for Grant, at 26 he hasn't recognized his role, that generally spells disaster. With all of these bigs what does this mean for Sekou Doumbouya? He popped at times last year.

He's 35. 3 years is a travesty. Full MLE is 10 mils right? And it goes up. If he wants to compete we can offer like 3/35(please somebody correct me), but he will be 38-39 when the contract expires... I'd take Jae.
Good assessment:

Giles, Baynes and yes Millsap

Favors!!!

Favors resigned, already.

I'd say Baynes, Millsap and Jae.
I'd take Jae out of that group. Millsap is a good player but he's what 35?

Id add Ibaka and Tristan Thompson. If we end up with Theis and Turner, a veteran rebounder is a need Thompson would be good.

Not saying the Celtics would do it. There are a lot of stupid teams in the NBA

I dunno what Danny's been doing this entire time, tbh. Or wait, I might know, he's looking for another 6'6 center to add to our squad.

FYI you guys realize that this means Crowder's probably gone right

Crowder is probably looking for a multi year deal.

Thompson for the BAE, outside of the rebounding he has no skills whatsoever...
Jae for the MLE. Add Turner and call it a free agency.

Really not much out there left for wing talent, think we wind up splitting the MLE between two guys to fill out the roster. Give me Giles and someone who can play the 2/3. No wonder DA is asking for Warren back

Jae for the full MLE would be a steal. GIve him 3/4 years. Dude's worth it at that price range for sure. Baynes is kinda old, too. But I wouldn't mind having "All of Australia" back.

This is the thing. Hayward **** over Utah the same way when he signed with us.... all of free agency had ended before he got out of his World of Warcraft 40 day raid to decide to look at his offers.

I don't think the lineup of

Kemba
Smart
Brown
Tatum
Turner

Is better than

Kemba
Brown
Hayward
Tatum
Theis

At all.... in fact I think it's a pretty obvious downgrade as Hayward > Smart and Theis > Turner (but due to Smart's obvious offensive weakness we'd need the shooting of Tuner on the court instead of Theis of we'll just fall against the zone again). But I can't wait till Hayward is off this **** team and we can move forward.

So **** frustrating and honestly against the precedent of ALL his peers with their decision making and in that way really **** over his peers financially by taking away offers from them and the teams negotiating with him as they're losing opportunities to better their team once he **** finally signs a **** contract.

I think with Brown showing he can make Siakam look like a bitch, any usefulness we'd have for Crowder is baked into the roster.

Baynes otoh imo would be the perfect backup Center.

We'd need a counter to the bigs of Philly and MIL if we make it that far in the playoffs and we know Baynes can hold his own, play great defense, and hit a 3. He's the perfect counter on this team that will be younger than any other team in the NBA I'm pretty sure post trade (I think last year we were by some metric and we're looking to swap out a 30 year old for a 24 year old right now).

Assuming we can get the Hayward trade done before only NBADL players are left in free agency, Baynes just makes sense for this team and would be perfect off the bench.

I wouldn't complin if we could get both Baynes and Crowder mind you or even one of them haha, but I think Baynes is the much bigger get for us if we got one of them. He's perfect for this team.

This isn’t his decision making this time though. He’s made it loud and clear he wants Indy. It’s now a negotiation between us and them and I don’t blame Ainge for holding Pritchard over a barrel after what happened last time with Paul George

This, Shaq Harrison should be a target. Though, if they do get Turner and unless R Williams goes, I don't see where Giles gets a spot in the rotation.

Wouldn’t it be ironic Crowder coming back and Hayward leaving

By the way I’m a no on Crowder

Turner did shoot 43% from 3 against Heat and averaged 16/11. If we pull off Hayward trade for him it’s better than all these JAGs everyone is lamenting signing elsewhere.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
