If we truly used some of the MLE on Pat, who shouldn't even be your top bench guard, someone needs to be fired.

tydett wrote:So I guess all that stuff about being willing to spend into the tax, make the team better was just a flat out lie. How can Giannis trust a word that these obsequious, ostentatious, lying snakes that comprise part our ownership group ever again? They run to the media any time they can leak news that make them look good, and then take every avenue possible to milk this team fornall it is worth. It has been an incredible 7 years, Giannis. Thank you. Milwaukee's 50+ years of basketball have been nice, but there will be no recovering from this until the ownership group cashes out on a destitute franchise with no picks and no hope in 3 years, allowing it to be moved to Seattle or something.

well said. i was wanting to make a similar point, but i'm not articulate enough  :(

...and we are supposed to be better? This off-season was very important. We will be talking about this for years to come. Unfortunately

The worst thing is that at the same time the rest of the playoff teams are much stronger this season or atleast retained their chemistry.

how would that work :D

We couldn't use the full MLE in a Bogdan deal anyway unless all other contracts would be 0 NBA year minimum deals. Utilizing part of the MLE is either incompetence or indicates that there is a plan restricting us from using the full MLE. And I really can't believe the Bucks or any FO just missed this.

Because they won’t have all the MLE if they did a sign and trade..

If this whole thing is true, this is the only thing that can save this FO.

Not sure but I think the amount Pat got is roughly the portion of the MLE that would left after accounting for reasonable estimates of Bogdan's starting salary? And I think the proposed sign-and-trade would have hard-capped them anyway, so they would have been able to use either the remaining MLE or Pat's Bird rights, but not both.

I think ducking the tax is a more likely explanation, but I have to admit that this could be a viable explanation for why they would use part of the MLE on Pat instead of exploiting his Early Bird Rights. And it Pat insisted on his player option (betting on a career year in his prime with a golden opportunity to get more minutes) it would all add up.

EDIT: But I think they were very creative in ducking the tax last year while pretending they had to, so it's hard to give the the benefit of the doubt this year.

I want to believe that Pat took 4 mil from the tax-MLE - which leaves just enough money for a two year min vet - and that the Bogdan deal is more than alive.

To say I am not impressed with the offseason so far would be putting it mildly.

What would we trade to match salaries for Bogdan?

Who would be sent to Sacto to match salaries though? All these shenanigans have made it hard to add up enough outgoing salaries. Are they able to just sign Ersan for the same $7m after waiving him? They actually might be, as it would not be a raise or anything.

That first Bogdan trade was literally to good to be true. If Brook has to be in it then so be it. I don't care. Get it done.

Bogdan is gonna end up in LA on a sign and trade for KCP or Kuzma...

Furthering the Lebron can do anything in this league like stop other trades.
