Do we have other NBA people in our front office or is Horst in a room by himself trying to figure it all out?
I've been wondering that for years... Dude just sitting there with his head bent over his desk, hands pulling at his own hair, repeating, "Think Horst, THINK!", to himself while refreshing the RealGM Bucks forum - a monitor for each thread. Sits up straight soon as Lasry peaks his head in asking, "How's that Giannis extension coming?"

I won't be surprised, but I've braced myself so that I won't be too let down when it doesn't happen.

We can’t really be surprised by this. This guy learned from John **** Hammond. Of course he was going to be stupid.

Why is the NBA so much more complicated than any other sport when it comes to free agency

How would we have competed with the Wolves offer?

Free agent options dwindling at this point. Bucks still have a full bench to fill out as well.

Nightmare scenario: Giannis doesn't re-sign by the 21st. We duck the tax and have Augustin + Pat C as our 6th and 7th men. Instead of trading Giannis we run it back for one more season with Giannis where we end up as a 4-5 seed and delude ourselves into thinking we're just "saving it for the playoffs" and Holiday's improvement over Bledsoe will be our saving grace. It's not and we lose in the 2nd round. Holiday and Giannis walk.

Praying for a better outcome than the above but it's hard to see. At least if Giannis signs the supermax it gives us a little extra juice in terms of recruiting but the only reason he would at this point is blind loyalty.

I like Pat but what’s the rush there? Explore other options and if you miss out sign him later. Makes zero sense.

Been unable to keep it the last few hours. Seeing more doom and gloom. Anything new happen or what?

Never. Have a nice bloody mary or oj/juice mixer. Get those veggies and fruits in for the day.

If the news is true that Pat is costing the MLE or whatever its called clearly not good. Although I saw some comments from a Matt Valquez tweet saying it might be part of early bird rights if the 2nd year is guaranteed?

I'm usually not a "the sky is falling" type of guy, but this is getting a bit concerning. I can picture them just sitting back and waiting for the tampering investigation to end in hopes of still being able to bring Bogdan in. That's how dumb these guys are.

It sounds like the Pat C contract is going to eat into our MLE.

Yea idk. Entice em with a S&T? They wanted a PG, maybe Bled + pick(s) before the Jrue stuff came to fruition? But that seemed like priority #1
