What will happen with the 905 this year, with the Raps being in Tampa? What is the G league doing anyway?

Hope we manage to snag Oladipo and or Turner. I’d be fine moving on from Ibaka. He should go join a clear cut contender while we retool what our core is going to look like.

Getting Vic and Myles can help rebuild our identity as a team. Bringing back everyone doesn’t make much sense when that squad peaked where they did and we sent afford to bring back the full roster with Gasol too.

I’d honestly look to sign and trade Ibaka with picks to get Vic and Turner. Maybe do separate deals if that’s possible to snag Oladipo with Norm

Starting to look like no one wants to deal with Masai and Bobby right after the Championship, due to all the fleecing they did to other GMs the previous years..

Kind of like how no one wants to deal with Ainge and the Celtics anymore.

Good question. In October the reports were that the G-League might not play and instead they would expand NBA rosters. I haven’t seen any news since.

If the Raptors are playing the entire season in Tamapa, shouldn't the NBA put us In the South East and move the Wizards to the Atlantic.

new nba schedule is you play own conference 3 times, other conference 2 times,
14x3 + 15x2 = 72 games.
division dont matter anymore.

Dipo for Serge + Terence Davis
Norm + Mccaw/Johnson (or both) for Turner
Add picks to get this one done. Both the above work in the checker.

This makes the Raps significantly better. I for one don't think that hayward is going to Indy. I can see the Knicks making a play for him though, and that's what would be ideal for the raps as well. Hayward to the knicks, Dipo and Turner to the Raps.

Lowry/Dipo/OG/Pascal/Turner. ELITE defense with above average shooting at every position.

Fred/Thomas/Watson/Oshae/Boucher

Flynn/Harris/Dewan

Raps still have the MLE. I'd look at Milsap and Boogie. Boogie for sure. If we're going young, Giles could work too.
I believe in Masai.

It's clear that the Raptors like taking care of their own guys first, and then going bargain shopping once the teams with cap space have blown it all in the first two days.

Unless you're going star-hunting in FA, there's much more value to be had by waiting than by jumping the gun. Patience y'all.

it feels like last year... waiting for the chips to fall before making moves. Obviously I trust Masai but im bearish on FVV and Ibaka coming back on team friendly deals. Potentially they are negotiating S&T scenarios especially with Ibaka who i'd be shocked if he took the MLE.

Get Baynes for the MLE and i dont think we lose a step. Get better with internal improvement too. Ibaka loss is far from huge if we get a serviceable big to replace him

Losing Ibaka a big blow for Raptors as they push next to signing Gasol - Sportsnet.ca

Michael Grange joins Sportsnet Central to discuss the Los Angeles Clippers signing Serge Ibaka, what impact it has for the Toronto Raptors and what their next moves could be.

Serge leaves same time as Boston signs Tristan Thompson. If we don't bring Gasol back the season will be a disaster with no centers.

So we need two bigs.

This is our C market, whether by UFA signing, RFA poaching, or a trade for an expiring:

UFAs
-------------
Whiteside
Baynes
Len
Kaminsky
Giles

RFAs
-------------
Poeltl
Juan Hernangomez

Expirings via trade, noting that we wouldn't have to match salaries for most of these players:
-------------
Gobert
Drummond
Adams
Olynyk

Affordable contracts into 2021 aligned with our Giannis strategy.
-------------
Mo Bamba
Mitchell Robinson

Re-signing
-------------
Marc Gasol Sáez

Highly likely one or two of these aforementioned dudes is going to be on our top 8 rotation.

Personally, I think the simplest solution would be a rotation of Baynes and Giles.

Dumping Powell to address the big rotation problem is the next move.

I am also very interested in Alex Len.

Sure we can trade Powell, but we can't add significant caphits to 2021 without compromising our max slot. Which means, if we trade Powell for a big, it'll either be an expiring or an affordable contract. It's those names on my list.

I'd add Boggie Cousins to the list of FAs. He's a gamble, but he may be worth a shot.

Get Alex McKechnie working on him round the clock.

Pray Giles' knees hold up. That is the biggest issue here.

Love Baynes. His game really works with the modern NBA.
