$7M was market rate for Augustin. I'm not overpaying a guy like him, even on a 1+1.

I don’t mind you laughing at me bro. I seriously don’t. :)
In short, all I am saying is RJ-Brunson-Grimes-Quickley-Randle are the untouchables moving forward.

The Heat can still find a role for Dragic for instance, and he’s in his mid-30s. He’s contributed to the culture and the style of play since he arrived there. That has a lot of value.

We can always bring back Wayne Ellingthong as the vet in a minimal role lol. Heat situation is different though. They know how to develop players and win at the same time. We don’t. So might as well tank full on.

I do want to start Quickley over someone like Bodganovich though. I think people sleeping on his upside. On Kentucky he played mainly off the ball but he has more skills than that. He can create for himself.

Really hope it was a Devin Booker situation

Yeah I think he can be something like Booker/Herro. Was watching a scouting video on him and they were saying in high school he was more of a shot creating scoring guard instead of just a 3 and D guy at Kentucky. I went and looked at his high school videos and it checked out. There’s def some untapped potential as a scorer.

Klay's injury completely ruined the season before it even started. It's going to be a very boring playoffs.

Yup.

Throwing around money to even Augustin, but especially Ellington, is how teams screw up their caps.

He got a big decision. Winning competing and not a lot of responsibility in Toronto

Or losing and frustration while getting blamed for everything in NY

Only Payton signing with another team and trading Randle would save this free agency, and both these thing could still happen, so yay

I was interested in him for a year. Committing to 3 years with him is a lot.

I don’t know one draft person who liked the Quickley pick lol

That’s everyone from the mainstream guys to the Numbers and analytics nerds like the Stepien site.

I'm actually excited to see what Wiseman can do, I think he has the talent to get close to 20/10 his rookie year. I think Wiseman will be the default #2 guy and they will go as far as Steph/Wiseman can take them

Yes, we don't know yet, but Quickly is 100% that profile. Almost to the point where people won't give him credit if Quickly does hit because it was "handed to him" or was "too obvious"

maybe he is. he was drafted early. but him being a kentucky kid makes me wonder if it was really that. if maxey was there would they still have taken him ? i don't think so.
