Yes, we don't know yet, but Quickly is 100% that profile. Almost to the point where people won't give him credit if Quickly does hit because it was "handed to him" or was "too obvious"
maybe he is. he was drafted early. but him being a kentucky kid makes me wonder if it was really that. if maxey was there would they still have taken him ? i don't think so.
I don't know the answer to that, but I do know they appeared to reach for Quickley about 10-15 spots higher than people thought he would go, and did so without hesitation (they could have tried to trade back again and collect more assets, but just went with their guy to not risk losing him). It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out, but my goodness does it look like Quickley has a similar statistical profile to other Kentucky guards who had a suppressed draft value because of the UK system.
