This board is going to love Jrue, he is so damn good.

Would not be surprised at all if people come to the conclusion that Jrue is better than Middleton, I'm already there.

Swore I just read that Jrue graded out as a fringe top 10 player on a **** NO team last season. Yeah, you can make that argument. To be fair to Khris he was right in that top 10 range last season as well, he had such a good season

100% this, the Bogdan stuff is breaking people's brains. I get it, I am still pissed, but we're gonna be pretty damn good.

This Bogdan "stuff" was the solution on our wall formation problem. By far our biggest problem.
Our starting lineup with Bogdan was perfect. Perfect spacing not allowing double/triple team walls, more types of half court offense etc.

Right now any decent coach will let Donte shoot us to death just to cheat on Giannis. Donte will replace Bledsoe as our wall enabler, any chemistry we had is damaged and we have far worse shooting and depth and our only hope is Bud figuring a way to adapt after 3 seasons.

This. I wasn’t huge on Bogdan until reading and watching more of him. He would help take care of the wall problem, and help create more as a playmaker. Obviously the rumors of him and Giannis being good friends and potentially helping the case for the Supermax was/is another huge aspect but even outside of that he would have been a super good fit.

I'd be curious to know how people would think about the roster moves if we had never gotten wind of the potential Bogdan trade.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Best defensive lineup of all time?

They were insane on D last year but yes, that lineup is even better on defense. Jrue/DDV is going to harass the **** out of people in the backcourt.

People would probably be upset at the Holiday overpay, which is way more justifiable when paired with Bogdan.

Still need a replacement for Ersan and Hill.
I think Portis replaces Ilyasova more than Rolo.

If the Bucks don't replace Robin, the front court will look more like it did in 2018-19 when Ilyasova subbed in for Brook and the Bucks did not have a big body to defend Ibaka/Gasol when Brook went to the bench.

I felt that last year's addition of a second Lopez was intended to wear down Embiid if the Bucks met Philly in the playoffs. If they don't replace Lopez with a big body, I take it that they don't see the Sixers as much of a threat that they did a year ago.

Solid B. Like I said earlier we are improved and clearly a better fit around Giannis. Now the credit card bill starts coming due in 2025 if Giannis signs the super Max which is expected now.

Maybe I'm shilling too much for the Bucks here, but I think people tend to forget the Bucks were clearly the best team in the league for the vast majority of last season. The bubble destroyed that team in more ways than one. Maybe Jrue and improvement from DDV is enough to put us over the top

Ok, I'll ask, any news on Giannis? While I didn't expect anything definitive yesterday, I thought we'd certainly hear something, even a tiny inkling, about his decision by now.

Anyone...anyone? Bueller...Bueller...Bueller?

Like a 2 year deal like LeBron did?

Lot of people down on Donte and I can somewhat understand it given his bubble play but I’m really intrigued by a Jrue/Donte backcourt. Just filthy defensively.

We really really need one of Merrill/Nwora to not completely suck and be capable of giving us a passable 15-20 min if needed. Not asking for a rookie Brogdon type of impact but one of them has to be serviceable.

Portis started as a PF but last couple years he has been more of a C. Portis has some decent size and aggression. But your probably right in that Portis isn't full time C. I don't think Bucks need a guy like RoLo but there are a few big body minimum players to fill it.

I guess the bigger question is who replaced Marvin Williams? Markieff Morris?

Biggest question is how Bucks get another PG.

i really wonder if donte came in to the bubble physically and mentally prepared. i thought he looked smaller

Starting lineup is better. Significantly better actually and one that you don't have to worry about playoff Bledsoe sinking.

Bench got significantly worse. Not sure you can argue otherwise. This team lacks alot of depth now. Bonus might be is that Bud is now forced to play a 8 man rotation instead of the 10 man one come po time

If people want to attach an grade to offseason though everything comes down to Giannis. If he signs its A+++++++++. If he doesn't..... WTF cares cause I'm out then cause Jesus **** christ you can't make that trade without flat out knowing he's resigning
