I will personally drive Ainge to the airport and buy him a one way ticket back to Utah. To bungle things this bad is beyond sickening.

Let Horford walk. Got nothing in return.
Let Irving walk. Got nothing in return.
Let Hayward walk. Got nothing in return.

Ainge has set this franchise back for years no matter how hard anyone tries to say how “well” he set up the future.

The Celtics/Pacers trade negotiations are completely difference conversation than this. If the Pacers offered 4/100 to Gordon, and the Hornets offered 4/120 to him. Who do you think he was going with? This is independent of the trade negotiations. If Hayward was willing to take a 20 million dollar hometown discount, I’m sure trade negotiations would had continued. As much as we have heard Gordon wanting Indy, the dude isn’t walking away from $20 million dollars.

Danny has the best job in the world. He can horribly miss mismanage his roster year in and out and it's still not his fault.

Good for him.

Facts Corey. He is Gm for life. Brad Stevens too. Smh.

IF and only IF this is it, time to say bye bye to Danny...This team is a treadmill with the talent we have. 4th or 5th seed in the East, with no cap space and a GM with a history of consistently falling short of making good moves....No more excuses.

Ib4 total board meltdown!!..... ahh ****, too late. I'm not sure how Gordon taking the crazy offer from Charlotte is on Ainge, Indiana wasn't matching that and Gordon had to agree to a sign and trade, if he wanted Indiana that bad it would have happened but for less money. He wanted the last big pay day and he got it. You can't blame Ainge for Indiana being a smarter franchise than Charlotte, that's a massive overpay. People are looking at this as if Gordon didn't have a say but it's just not true.

Pats usually take the sting of any dumb crap the other Boston teams do. This is 2020 for ya :(

There is nothing Ainge can do except pay Gordo 130 mil that would be ridiculous, his been a train wreck the 3 years he was here. What is supposed do? Point a gun at him and say sign this contract with Indiana?

He got offered over 4 100 from reports i saw last night.

Again, Hayward wanted Indy. Every report said Ainge wanted more than Turner and McDermott. He MASSIVELY **** up. MASSIVELY.

If he was offered 4/100, then the Pacers did not have a competitive offer on the table as I was mentioning earlier. It’s pretty clear Charlotte came in yesterday and probably screwed up talks between the Pacers and Celtics. I’m guessing Gordon went back to both the Pacers and Celtics asking for 4/120 or something close like 4/115, and both were like hell no.

Every single report said he wanted to go to Indy. The only way was via S&T. Ainge didnt play ball. What are we doing here

He wanted to go to Indy. Then got offered crazy money. Then he took the crazy money.

Meh. Myles Turner doesn't rebound and never set a pick in his life. The real loser here is Pritchard, who now has to deal with two mismatched centers and a star (Oladipo) who wants out.

I'm a bit confused why everyone thinks this is on Danny. It was Gordon's choice. Charlotte offered him a number he couldn't turn down and no way Indy was coming close.

Not buying this angle, as I think hayward and is family would have sacrificed a little cash to be home. This is Ainge or the Pacers screwing Ainge.

Maybe Ainge will finally learn that he can't screw teams over in trades anymore

Are you guys that dumb to think Ainge didn't want the Indy deal? Hayward was just offered 4 yr 120 vs 4 yr 100. Quite a big difference lol.

Completely separate scenarios here. Just like Horford last year, Celtics would be dumbasses to match that offer

This board never learns.

It’s not about that, it’s about letting the talent leave and not having a backup plan, letting a max player leave for nothing in return. You have very little options to improve this team.
