Wow and a big wtf?!?! lol
How do hornets keep falling for these traps over and over? First with Batum and now with Hayward.

Looks like Ainge screwed himself again. He was trying to fleece Indiana.

Hayward is very good. You must think he's still injured from 2 years ago. He found his game. He's back to himself. He should be there leading scorer. Lamelo will turn that whole franchise around. I'm surprised they have a legit team this year.

Not good enough for that contract!! He’s going to be 34 that final year. Bobcats will always have to overpay to get players though

I wish him and the Hornets the best, but I have a sneaking suspicion that neither him nor Ball are going to do much to help Charlotte compete.

It's a huge victory anytime a small market team like Charllote can sign a FA of Hayward's caliber. Teams in small markets dont get these chances very often and they need to take them when they do.

It's nice to see the Hornets making moves that actually make them better after being bad for so long. But at the end of the day. The draft is what makes small market teams contenders and the Hornets have been absolutely terrible in that department.

This is a good move for the Hornets. They are not a destination for big-time stars and Hayward is playing back to his old self with every good number. Heck, even a low % shooter like Danilo Gallinari got a big contract, Hayward is definitely worth this one in comparison.

That's a big "if" He actually declines hard or at all. His game isn't based on speed or athleticism. His passing and shooting will still be there. Batum got injured and can't play anymore. Either way they need to do something. They been silent for a long time. Maybe lamelo is enough to make them attractive to another free agent next season. They have nothing to hold back on anymore
