Great signing for Miami. Not sure why he'd opt out of Lakers just to get a team option on the 2nd year.. maybe he felt weird coming back after sitting out the bubble.. or maybe the $600K was a just too much too pass up.. or maybe he just really loves Miami's culture but strange either way.

He and Jimmy together in the backcourt for stretches can really lock down. Add in Harkless and Bam and you've got 4 good-great defenders art any give time.

Let’s recap.

1. He lead the charge to not goto the Bubble along with Kyrie because of BLM.

2. Bubble happened anyway, and now he didn’t wNt to go because he wanted to stay home with his son who has respiratory problems, ok fair. But this put the Lakers in a huge bind as Rondo suffered an injury right before the Bubble thus decimating their guard depth.

3. Lakers win a chip without him, give him a ring anyway. Now he opts out of 5 mill only to sign with another team for 600k more.

If you’re a Laker fan, this overall is worse then Kawhi leading you on until last minute. F Bradley, enjoy Florida. Surprised he wants to play now in a more dangerous climate then the Bubble was.

Didn't he sit out to be with his son who had a severe medical condition that can get worse with a covid infection?

Yeah what an ass!

Hes not an ass, but moving his family to Miami Florida where they serve Covid as a side dish at every meal is not great planning.

All that said, Caruso proved himself in the playoffs. I’d rather have him then Bradley tbh.

He became expendable with the Wes signing. He was 3rd strong behind Caruso and Wes I think. Lakers need to bring Rondo back more than AB.

You understand that Bradley knows that since the Lakers are prioritizing KCP and with the price he’s likely to get, they can only offer Bradley the vet min right? Why would anyone expect him to wait around for that?

You can tell he was just looking for reasons to leave after they won without him. Was probably rooting secretly for the Heat in the finals. It's human to not want your group better without you

Lakers did have the non bird raise to use.

This would sting more if the lakers hadn’t just won the chip without him.

What? Not in team sports man. I never want my team to lose if I'm not playing. Perhaps it's different when you're paid millions and you don't really have a bond with your teammates, but in general that's bs.

But they’re hard capped from using the full MLE on Harrell, so although they have his non bird rights, they can’t go over the tax apron. If they sign KCP to the price he’s expected to get, they can only use vet min contracts to fill out the roster to ensure they stay under the hard cap.

he's going to be a major loss to the Lakers in the bubble, where will the guard play and defense come from now?

So there would be no room for us to go over the hard cap and go into the luxury tax?

Covid rates aren't that high in florida compared to a lot of states. They were when the bubble was starting, but these things rise and fall.

Edit: They're currently 36/50 for most cases per day, though they're a bit higher than CA I guess.

Carusso filling the Bradley role on the way to a championship while Bradley stayed home, more than likely made things weird/him expendable

They have the most reported COVID cases in the US based on their population size.

Once you use the full MLE, you can’t go into the tax regardless of any bird rights or exceptions you may have.
