Maxi the first person that comes to mind. They also still have most of the MLE they could use on a guy like WCS.

But as I said, the Mavs may still acquire one.

James Johnson is the same size as Udonis Haslem. I think he can play spot minutes at C.

Johnson is 6’7”

Most of the others have various skills that we could use. Millsap and Crowder may be asking too much. Taj Gibson is done. Ilyasova is interesting in that he really spreads the floor. Cousins may just be a Boban duplicate given his wheels.

Did WCS sign somewhere while I slept?

WCS is still available.

Brunson? Maybe a 3-team deal. What does Collins contract look like?

Collins' contract matches Brunson + DFS. Financially that is.

My guess is he's up for a max contract extension and maybe the Hawks management feels he's not worth that. Now they have Capela, Gallinari signed for $60M and they drafted another PF/C in Onyeka Okongwu.

What's about THJ? Will he stay?
What's about Lee? Will he return or is it more possible that he change the team?

Well short version is.. Compared to last season, Mavs got a lot more stronger on defense and basically retained their firepower on offense. So for now, i could say the key to success is health. They had major bad luck going into the playoffs with injuries.

Looks like Collins is a RFA in 2021 so he fits as far as contract and his style of play.

I just read that Cody Zeller May also be a cheap option considering Jordan needs to make room for Hayward.

I don't think we've got the assets to take Collins.
But hey, finger crossed!

If Mavs could sign Crowder, that would be huuuuge. Another strong presence on defense.

Ah nvm, he signed with PHX lol...

The tricky part is Collins is on his rookie contract so it's hard to match.

Maybe Brunson + DFS + Tyler Bey + 1st rounder

We've used up a portion of our MLE, so it wouldn't be enough I wouldn't think. There are other teams still holding the MLEs.

Yeah they have aprox 6.3M left, that's why Brad thinks some kind of sign and trade will happen. But i don't know who would they trade. Brunson and DFS don't make any sense to trade unless you get something significant back.

Brunson and DFS seem like the only value contracts we have left after sending out Curry, Wright and Jackson.

If Dallas can manage to swipe someone like Lauri Markkanen (who the Bulls seemed to have given up on) using those pieces I will be stunned.

Well they must be working something out. They have a roster spot to fill and 6.3 million.

Thank god, dodged that bullet. His role is well and truly filled out on our roster now after those recent additions.
JJB coming back is horrifying. Waste of a roster spot.

I'm a little fuzzy on the Barea-hate.

You have a PG who knows the system better than anyone except the coaches, still gets respect from opponents, and will likely only be used in "break-glass" emergencies. This is bad how?

Michael Scotto: Jae Crowder had interest from many teams, including the Mavericks, Timberwolves, Clippers, and Hornets, league sources told HoopsHype. The Heat also had interest in a return, but the 3-year, $30 million offer from the Phoenix Suns as reported by others was too good to pass up.
