Crowder was the guy Suns will end up signing. And yes I still think he's living off his reputation of 5 years ago... He's been bleh. But the contract is not terrible and he can at least pass on knowledge to the younger guys

If he can continue to defend at a high level and shoot at least 35%+ from 3 then it’s worth the value. Can’t expect anything more from him.

He’s only 30 yrs old too.

Great signing with Crowder, great glue guy and a solid vet which we need more of. Really liking what JJ is doing this offseason!

Not going to lie, I’m very happy with the Crowder addition. Great fit, good contract (in light of what other guys are getting), and will be very moveable if needed.

Yeah, he's fine, but not too exciting. A little long for my liking but at this point, at least we got someone decent.

Hopefully we still use the BAE on somewhat of a decent PG or combo guard.

We need to go hard for Teague or Jackson at this point.

Difference between a team that just made the Finals/been a winning organization for the last decade vs a team that has been awful for the last decade:

MLE salary for first team- Moe Harkless + Avery Bradley

Same MLE salary for second team- Jae Crowder

Not knocking it at all, I’ve been a Crowder fan for a long while, just something I noticed.

That's sort of a strange comment regarding Saric. Why hope to bring him back? Does this mean he's asking for way too much?

Given the ridiculous contracts beind handed out, I wouldn't be surprised if his agent is asking for something like 15 million a year. That said, he's an RFA, so we hold all the chips.

Big money has now already dried up, and I can't see Saric getting a mega offer anywhere. Maybe the Knicks?

Well at least it's not 4 years lol! for 10 mill this is a solid move. Now we have a cheaper veteran wing to complete that wing rotation.

Also someone better at the cap than me figure out if Baynes can go to Boston in a in a 3way S&T with scary Terry coming back here. There's some weird **** with base year rules that would let the suns take way more back if Baynes signs at a certain amount.

There is ZERO chance we are taking back that Rozier contract. Even if we could somehow. I will consider us as fans lucky if we use all our exceptions.

I seriously seriously doubt we use all our exceptions AND use Baynes in a S&T, even if it was a small one. If we happen to do that though, I will be really happy with Sarver.

I agree. It will either be taking on 8-10m or so with a Baynes S&T or signing somebody to the BAE. Not both.

Wanamaker with the BAE at this point.

McLaughlin, Wanamaker, Napier or possibly Teague or Jackson if they will take that little.

Based on all the deals we have seen so far, I honestly cannot understand one bit anyone saying 3 for 30 is a "bad contract"

I’m viewing this as we are likely not signing another big or wing (besides Saric). Could possibly sign someone like Forbes, and retain Jevon Carter.

Awesome! I was hoping for Crowder or Holiday with the MLE.. I kinda like our defense backcourt.. was not excited about DJ.

I would do Baynes and a future 2nd for Wannamaker and the draft rights to Yam Madar.

I think we need to offer Dario a 3 yr 36m deal.

I just don't see any bid money for Saric at this point. Like you said, only the MLE or the Knicks. I would be fine with Saric at a one year deal at this point

I get where you’re coming from, but Bradley is pretty much cooked at this point. I had him as a vet minimum guy.

Solid signing.

When's the last time we beat out other teams for a FA?

He's also great insurance if any of our wings go down, or even if Booker misses time, you can slide Bridges to the 2.

Great signing as long as we keep Saric/Carter and sign with a back up guard (Wanamaker/Forbes)
