Nah. Rozier is going to the Knicks for a pick or two. That will clear the space. The Knicks missed out on FVV and it looks like Westbrook is going to Washington for Wall.
Hayward to Charlotte, Rozier to NY and Ntilikina to Boston works for me.

I do. You guys realize if GMs were fired for not doing imaginary trades sceemed up on message boards we'd be fireing Ainge every year right? I mean, some of you have literally called for him to be fired every year. "OMG he traded Antoine Walker?!?!?!? I'll drive him to the airport!!!!" It's every single offseason. You'll get that right?
Imaginary trades, sure, but losing assets for nothing is real brah
Ok Brah, we don't know that we are getting nothing yet. Everyone said the same thing 2 years ago brah about Kyrie and then we got Kemba.

Jae's gone. I dunno at this point Danny's starting to look as if he's just playing it safe all the time ala the Bulls FO in order to not lose his job.
Good assessment:
PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

From the elation of that improbable 18 ECF run without Kyrie and Gordon, and thinking we'd own the world the next year with them back, to how things feel about the team right now is like falling off a cliff. I honestly wonder if this jeopardizes keeping Tatum at this point. Now we have no more cache of future firsts from other teams, and will be capped out for the foreseeable future. No clear pathway for improvement. Jaylen and Jayson are nice, but how do you add to them?

Dude you're **** INSANE if you think we should have given Hayward that contract. I guess I need to put you on my list of posters to never take seriously.
Note to Karalis and others:
Hayward did not have the final say in going to Charlotte, as they don't have enough cap space. They need help, and Ainge is going to comply. That's the frustration here. This isn't a team that had cash and just swooped in a grabbed Hayward and Hayward signed there freely as a FA. It can't go down like that.
Yup. It is incredible how people on here fail to grasp that.
Ainge bungled this no matter how hard his media cronies and the holy Ainge ball washing disciples try to downplay it.
We’ll see. However looking at shams calculator it appears they can get under just releasing unguarenteed contracts. Or at the very least using a middling asset to get off Batum.

I want Mark Bartelstein to be my agent. I dunno for what yet, but I want him to secure me that type of deal.

Ainge was the one being ridiculous though. Just take Turner and McBuckets
Bingo. I know AInge will come on the radio and say "we were never close" and all that but I think this deal gets done if Ainge does not ask for Oladipo or Warren. Not only that this is the third year in a row that this team lost a big FA.
On top of that this team has has like 20 picks the last 4 drafts and he has just hit on Brown, Tatum and Smart. It is absurd how many wasted picks Ainge has had. This tea
Make all the excuses you want for Ainge but at some point, whether it is all his fault or not, it is time to move on from him.
There was no sign and trade to be made with Indy when Hayward took the much larger offer with Charlotte lol. People are mad at Ainge that Hayward decided to go with the biggest offer instead of going to his hometown team. The sign and trade to Indy only worked if both Indy and Gordon were sold on it happening.
It's actually pretty simple. Not hard at all to understand quite frankly.

I don't see anyone else that can make up $10M difference they'd be willing to send us.
That's enough to sign Bogdanovic. But I don't think we'd want to get into tax for that roster.
Yeah, we almost can't use it without offloading Zeller first who then is the same amount of money, lol.
I guess we can always 3 team it somehow. Find enough off CHA roster to some 3rd team, less/no salary back to us.
Maybe DET needs Zeller to complete the set?

No one has the cap space for Batum.

We don't want anything from Charlotte so there's that.
You mean you don't want Zeller? That is surprising.

Yeah when you don't understand how this works you really aren't tbh
So....Boston would get the terrible Horford contract back. Why would this idea even be proposed?
Because Boston needs a C and they have the cap space to have a terrible contract right now. Going to be a problem next year but that is next year. I would rather have Horford on his bad deal than Hayward on his.

I love money like most ppl but why do you need an extra 20 million when you’re making 100million.

Eh. Love Danny, but he **** up. Had he pulled the trigger quickly with Indiana and not dicked around, we would have Turner. Not the end of the world. But sometimes you don’t need to be the best GM in the room. Just be a real good one.

We lost the moment hayward opted out. It's that simple.
Sure but what could Ainge do about it? Try to get him to opt and extend, he did that. Offer him an extension he did that at way too much money. Try to create S&T Ainge did that with IND. Now regroup and see if you can get a deal done with CHA. Or back away and see if CHA can actually free up the cap space.
We are not replacing hayward and that's the point.
This team is in big **** trouble.

Hayward had no bag to take as he doesn't get to sign in Charlotte outright.

I honestly don’t know much about Charlottes roster. But Turner wasn’t a superstar, so let’s see what we’ll get.

Charlotte is waiving Batum to have enough money.
