Yea I'm actually not sure how good Jrue is (honestly have not watched him much). But our starting 5 has been upgraded.

Plus Portis off the bench.
giraldo5 wrote:This offseason has been an A. We got the best player available in Jrue. I didn't think we had what it took in assets and we were able to keep DDV in the trade. Anything else we do is just gravy. People are 1) underrating how good Jrue is and 2) letting the Bogdan fiasco cloud their judgement.

Can we use the remaining MLE to sign Harry Giles to a 3 year deal? Or use it to steal a RFA from someone?

No thanks on Batum. I'd like to get younger out there.

Jevon Carter is a RFA I'd like to make an offer for. He can shoot the 3, and is a dog defensively.

if ddv is a gun who makes 36% or better of his 3's and does all the rest he does then i will be sooooooooo happy we didnt move him for the euro twig. if he gets above 38% on volume hes like dumars and ****.

i really like the offseason.... ALOT. and if we have a weak spot its going to be wing depth. we have a whole season to fill it. the regular season is now officially our preseason. it really needs to be our philosophy. theres only 16 wins that mean **** anymore

Four spots open.

Jrue..........Augustin......xxx
DDV...........xxx............Merrill
Midds.........xxx............Thanasis
Giannis.......xxx............Nwora
Brook.........Portis.........Wilson

I think we can get a good vet with a 2y/5mil with the rest of the MLE.

Think they salvaged fairly well after the Bogdan fiasco. Bogdan and min contracts or DDV, Portis, Augustin, Pat. Can argue the 2nd group is better, but I think I'd take the Bogdan route for the playoff aspects if I had to choose. Just think that shotmaking/scoring is going to be needed then.

Also, I have no beef with Pat. But I think I'd rather have Wes than him and they paid Pat more than what Wes got, I think. Maybe there is some cap rules about bird rights though that need it be multi year deal and they didn't want to give multi years to Wes at his age.
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I just realized that the most untouchable player in the NBA is Thanasis.

It would be Bogdan, Portis or Augustin vs DDV, Portis, Augustin. I prefer the 1st.

So we've upgraded Bledsoe and Marvin in relatively significant ways and hopefully have a replacement for Hill too.

Do you roll with a DJ/Jrue backcourt to keep DDV as 6th man? Feels like we're still missing a piece or two.

Feels like it may have been really difficult for us to fill out the roster with Bogdan at these prices

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
