Ainge has lost his touch. Can't imagine there's much of a backup plan.

Hayward came out the sole winner. And even he is going to lose...a lot of games, I mean.
Hornets are still a garbage team. Pacers lost because they couldn't get Danny to bite on Turner and McDermott. I'm not sure how you can call Danny a loser on here though. Everything I'm reading here keeps talking about how he had no control over the situation what so ever...

Well, it's settled- I will definitely be using the "Start from the Offseason" option in 2K this year

I do hope the wifi is pure **** in Charlotte.
You gotta make it sexy! Hips and nips, otherwise I'm not eating.

People were laughing at the idea that Hayward would just sign outright with another team. Too much faith in Danny. From loosing a max player for nothing to having to use a first to move salary Ainge has really missed managed the roster the last few years and it cost him dearly in the Heat series. I don’t see how adding some rotational big with the mid level keeps this team on par with Miami, Brooklyn, Milly,.....maybe even Philly now.

And it's true. 30m a year for a dude averaged like 40 or less games played over the last three yearsBen-N1ce wrote:I tried to tell ya Ainge would be coming with we where close but Red told me the sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make..

Re: Trade Thread #7: The Tide is Turning, but still Myles to go
Failing to draft a big looks even worse now that Ainge is unable to trade for one. Damn. I hope he doesn't sign another Kanter. A useless player that can't even be played when needed. I wouldn't be surprised if Ainge was counting on Tacko to contribute this year which is a crazy.

Come to us, Giannis.
After the past few offseasons, Giannis is not even a pipedream...

Re: Trade Thread #7: The Tide is Turning, but still Myles to go
Hayward had a player opinion. He chose to go where he wanted to go. It was a place where he was offered the most money by a really dumb GM.
Ainge f’d up by trusting by Hayward to do a S&T. People should be mad at Hayward too. He is a snake. He did us wrong like he did Utah wrong.
Ainge let some FA’s get away by being all in on an Indy deal that never happened.
Maybe Ainge can get something still from Charlotte but that roster is trash. Danny got played by Hayward.

Get the TPE and move on. Payoff probably won't come until the trade deadline or next offseason.
How much would it cost Celtics to get a TPE out of this?
Gotta believe they will let us do a s&t for Hayward. I want a tpe.
Guessing it's done in the simplest possible format.
But it would be pretty funny if they work with us and we just straight up get a $30mil TPE.

There's no accounting for crazy. All it takes is one horribly managed team to **** things up for the rest of us. This year there were only three swings at the crazy bat: Atlanta, Charlotte, and NY. Unfortunately Charlotte stepped up to the plate and hit a nutty home run. Of course they are way way worse off for it, they just don't know it yet.

MJ’s revenge for Cs taking Kemba last year.

Re: Trade Thread #7: The Tide is Turning, but still Myles to go
Most likely all the negotiating was to get pacers to give more or us to accept more money in return. Which neither likely would. Just like horford you don't pay that much for that long.Homerclease wrote:There’s always a possibility that Hayward was negotiating with Indy and they wouldn’t come up high enough to a number that he liked so he opted for Charlotte

Just like you were done when the Sixers signed Horford last year and Celtics didn't wanna match that albatross contract?
Lol, He'll be back. I give it about 5 minutes. Anytime someone quits in all caps, they come right back.

He essentially got Kemba for Horford so that's 1-2 actually
Can some find me a 1-2 gif?

You're mocking the team that beat the Raptors and got to the ECF. Still have the Full MLE and BAE to replace Kanter.
I'm not saying everything is sunshine and rainbows, but it's also not as dire as you're painting it.
This team has like 17 players on the roster right now and every year we wait for Ainge to fix the bench and add height and every year he rolls with what he has. I would be shocked if Ainge signed anyone of significance now.
