Smart is prob the 2 at the moment, Edwards is also under contract. That bench is just cringeworthy, not sure how they get it near to contend or lever with just the mid and bi annual.

My thing about Millsap is that we may be max cap room players next summer now (if we dump Kemba by then). No multiyear deals.

Yeah, I'm thinking about plugging some holes with one year deals, hope we get some rotation players out of Langford/G.Williams/R.Williams/Nesmith/Pritchard and go catch a big fish next summer, cut the the salary that's in our way.

Lol. Next but they won't. They will just miss the playoffs four year in a row and draft at 12 each year

Give me Zeller and Bridges and I'm happy.

Ainge has done a **** job managing assets since the Kyrie trade. If a guy is likely going to walk you have to deal them when they still have value, unless you're contending. This is 3 max guys in a row where he's failed to do so. I think ownership will regret not hiring Morey when we had the chance.
"Danny Ainge needs to shut the **** up and manage his own team. He was the biggest whiner when he was playing, and I know that because I coached against him."

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, cause I say this a lot:

Sure, if all our opponents get the most favorable outcomes, and none of our youths take a step, then obviously we lose ground. But it rarely works like that in reality. Not every rival team will maximize their potential, while we completely fail to do so. These things fall on bell curves. Some teams will improve and some will regress.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us beat or lose to any of these team this season.

When did I ever say some of our players won't improve? You cannot deny there is a gulf between the top teams in the conference, and the Celtics. I mean, is that even debatable?

Yes, I deny there is a "gulf" between us and the likes of Philly. We just swept them without Gordo. We can even regress some and they can improve some and still have there not be a "gulf".

Kemba / Brown / Tatum puts a relatively high floor on us. We're not going to just be flat non-competitive this year.

This ain't the time for that. Everyone upset has every right to be.

Agreed. Nor is it ever the time but especially is not the time for more toxic personal attacks on members of this board.

we lost to the 5th seed heat in the ECF because we couldn't bust a zone. we made it farther than the sixers, bucks, toronto. and we're improving. our best player has only been a superstar for half a season.

so yeah, that's debatable. more than that, it's just plain wrong.

Ok here for this content.

Well-known player. Never saying the name, because I believe that they are still married.

Well, what is clear is that Tatum is the franchise player. Brown and Kemba are his all star level wing men. Together they form our big 3. That’s our core.

The unclear part is how Danny provides the proper depth and role players they need around them.

Don't need Millsap. Just trade for Tucker, use BAE and MLE on Baynes, Rondo and Moore.

I just might be the clean cut white boy and it might tie into why no real FA's want to come here. Well he's CHA's problem now. I'm happy myself and look forward to this season.

Well on the plus side, there won’t be anymore confusion between who is Hayward and who is Theis.
