I'm not keeping track of every last dollar but I would think it's out of the question. They can't trade players they just signed and they're probably too close to the tax apron to sign-and-trade Ersan, if that's even legal after waiving him. Unless Bogdan gets even less than the original reported amount, which is a longshot at best, I think it's time to say goodbye. We will never forget you Bogie. Second-best Bogie to ever (almost) play for the Bucks.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

No clue how we’d get to a trade that would both be worth it and would work under the cap, but it ain’t over til it’s over:

As long as he doesn’t end up with Lakers I am good with it.

Bogdan must be jealous of that Hayward money.

Hawks and Knicks still have space.

Any number of teams could end up interested in a sign and trade too. Kings won’t want to lose him for nothing either if they can avoid it.

Possible that BB accepts the QO, Kings and Bucks work out something along the lines for Pat/DJ/DDV mid season, and then Bucks resign BB with bird rights in the off-season?

We wouldn't have bird rights. If a player on a QO consents to a trade, any bird rights they had get downgraded to non-bird rights. Non-bird rights only allow for 120% of prior salary, so this wouldn't be enough for the Bucks to be able to keep Bogdan at decent money that he would accept

I don't it's an option anymore unless Brook is involved right now and someone values him. Bucks are out of assets outside of DDV, salaries just don't work.

If sac resigns him, could be traded on dec 22 I believe with less restrictions around BYC I think.

I could see Bogdan pushing for more money while the Hawks wait for resolution on Rondo.

Don't think the Hayward money has anything to do with Bogdan (he's not getting near $30 mil per year, c'mon now). The thing that I keep coming back to is that the Kings have every incentive to get something in return for him and the Hawks have zero incentive to work a sign & trade considering they can sign him with pure cap space.

If I'm the Kings I'm basically telling Bogdan and his agent, "Look, you're either accepting a sign & trade and getting us an asset in return, or we're matching the Hawks offer and your ass is stuck here in Sacramento". It's a long shot, but that's the one way the Bucks can still muscle their way into this.

Bogdan’s not getting Hayward money but I could see him getting closer to $20 million per than $15 considering this crazy marketplace.

Either way the broader scenario you laid out tracks. Sacramento won’t want to lose him for nothing unless they have to.

Kings could be talking to other teams too about a sign and trade. But it’s just the Hawks, Bucks and Lakers (yeeesh) who have been publicly linked to him so far I think.

I’m pretty sure if Atlanta signs rondo, they won’t have the money for bogdan.

Sort of weird that it's been quiet on the Bogdan front. Would be hilarious if he ended up stuck on the Kings with a QO (after ATL makes an offer).

Eh whatever. At this point it's getting a few more million to play on mediocre/subpar teams or possibly playing alongside a contender and being a vital piece in potentially getting the 2-time MVP to the Finals. His choice will tell a lot about his competitive spirit.

Can definitely see the fit w/ the Knicks and Bogdan but apparently the Knicks are super cap conscious all of a sudden. I think they want to keep their salary in good standing and tank/develop for another year or two.

Rooting for the Bucks, to borrow a phrase from dear Leslie Nielsen, " ...it's like eating a spoonful of Drano; sure, it'll clean you out, but it'll leave you hollow inside."
