Baynes will be sideline for most of the season .. with injuries.. rather spend money on a good healthy Center

Kemba is getting moved at the end of the season. If his knees hold up that is.

We legit have no need for a 31.yesr old. Point guard at this point.

Sure, if all our opponents get the most favorable outcomes, and none of our youths take a step, then obviously we lose ground. But it rarely works like that in reality. Not every rival team will maximize their potential, while we completely fail to do so. These things fall on bell curves. Some teams will improve and some will regress.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us beat or lose to any of these team this season.

When did I ever say some of our players won't improve? You cannot deny there is a gulf between the top teams in the conference, and the Celtics. I mean, is that even debatable?

Yes, I deny there is a "gulf" between us and the likes of Philly. We just swept them without Gordo. We can even regress some and they can improve some and still have there not be a "gulf".

Kemba / Brown / Tatum puts a relatively high floor on us. We're not going to just be flat non-competitive this year.

Never said we are not gonna be competitive.... Just not good enough to win more than a round, as things stand at the moment. Our floor is high, our ceiling is not as high as the others. We beat Philly without Simmons... think it's a sweep with him?? I don't think so. We struggled to get past Toronto...so let's not act as if we were dynamite in the playoffs. We were good, but nowhere near dominant.

Kemba / Pritchard
Smart / Langford/Edwards
Jaylen / Nesmith
Tatum / G.Williams
Theis / R.Williams (or vice versa)

Smart is prob the 2 at the moment, Edwards is also under contract. That bench is just cringeworthy, not sure how they get it near to contend or lever with just the mid and bi annual.

Yea. Though I much prefer Smart coming off the bench. I don’t think Pritchard or Edwards are ready for back up point guard duties next season. I think you put Tatum back at the 3, and look for a veteran 4.

Prior to 2008 I could tell you the direction the Celtics were headed to, what moves they might make, now I can’t even say to be honest. Are they trying to field a championship team, are they trying to make the playoffs, are they doing a semi rebuild etc. No definite direction right now and that’s not a good thing. I don’t see the Celtics winning a championship anytime soon. They are going to make the playoffs, get lose in the Second or ECF. That’s their ceiling. If they are contented with that, including the fans more power to them.

It's mind blowing to you that people are upset we lost hayward for nothing? It's kind of mind blowing to me that you find that mind blowing...tbh.

It's called being a realist and a grown up. It was Hayward's decision bottom line.

We lost the moment hayward opted out. It's that simple.

Sure but what could Ainge do about it? Try to get him to opt and extend, he did that. Offer him an extension he did that at way too much money. Try to create S&T Ainge did that with IND. Now regroup and see if you can get a deal done with CHA. Or back away and see if CHA can actually free up the cap space.

We are not replacing hayward and that's the point.

This team is in big **** trouble.
We already replaced him with two wings drafted in the lotto last two years

You're being very dismissive toward the fact that it never should of been haywards decision and that is the point.

Umm why the hell were police officers checking in on Robyn Hayward every day? Does Gordon know about this? Does she have a milkman and a pool boy visiting too?

Yeah and the Roche brothers, whoever they are, visiting when she's "feeling lonely"... I think you're onto something brother

Keyword here is "lonely". Constable, you have an "in".

My friend used to plow a Celtics player's wife when he was on road trips, or even during games.

This almost happened to me with a Pats player years back, but almost doesn't really count.

How so? He had a player option. He opted out. Seems pretty simple to me.
