millsap is completely washed. if we use the full mle on him that would be an unmitigated disaster

Millsap is at least playable against any opponent unlike Kanter. That alone would be a nice change.

Gordon did well in taking the money. Anybody -particularly in his physical situation- would have taken a 4 year deal at 30 million dollars, it´s a no brainer. It is obvious that Danny could do nothing there...BUT...

It has happened already 3 times to Ainge (Irving, Horford, Hayward). You should have had a plan B and C. He should admit he has failed to prepare the team for this.

The hit is massive.

I don´t know how we can improve this team. Whatever we do, it can´t be better than last year´s. And last year´s was worse than the previous one in terms of talent.

It's a huge hit in terms of winning this year. But Ainge was clearly caught in between the Jays timeline and the now. This speeds up the process of building around the young dudes. This team will eventually be those two guys, the rooks and a max player once we bail out from Kemba's contract.
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

KD trying to get the whole gang back together. Signs Jeff Green. Likely Ibaka next. Then trade Kyrie, Levert, Allen, Dinwiddie for Harden and Westbrook.

I would be ok with millsap at 4.6m exemption. Not the full mle. Too old

You’re going to be traded to Detroit.

I was thinking Siberia or the Chinese league

So 2021-2022 season will we have more cap space to sign an all star?

Whose even a realistic target next season? Because we are gonna be up against Miami, Dallas, who else- that we can legitimately scoop up and who else is gonna be close to or around the same timeline as Tatum (what we always talk about). A descending Paul George Isn’t the answer

Any disgruntled star, which is pretty common now lol.

That the other teams want brown back.....we don’t have have the draft pick ammo. Pels have more, thunder have more, and who no booker ? No kat, no Luka, no freak

Not a fan of Milsap at nearly 36yo. Especially not if it's the full MLE.

But, it's a depth piece, that's unlikely to hurt. Wouldn't be a high bar to outplay Semi/Grant.

Millsap for MLE. Batum for BAE. Bring back Wanamaker and Javonte. Let Semi walk.

Who are the starters now? (yes I know we still have MLE and BLE)

I'd guess that it's either:

Kemba / Smart / Jaylen / Tatum / Theis

or

Kemba / Jaylen / Tatum / Theis / Timelord

Either way the bench is pretttttttty weak unless our young guys take a big step in the next month.

Fire danny, no bench in bubble was inexcusable, no kill shot moves have been able to been executed, terrible contracts galore.

Get some return

Ugh. Don't throw good money after bad. Last thing we need to do right now is overreact out of a need to "salvage" this.

Spend the full MLE, play the kids, build their value.
Yeah. Use mle on a 23 year old. Not 34. Don't try and replace Hayward. We drafted two wings in the lotto in back to back years for a reason

And for the second day in a row or the second time this week we see the Celtics franchise in the exact same way.

I'm scrambling to catch up to this new reality, but you don't go into over 30 win now players right now.

You let your youth get minutes and see if you have anything with them. And then if you're going to spend the full MLE... do it for a player that's 23/24 coming off their rookie contract.

Every year players, or at least guards, break out right after their rookie contract. From Avery Bradley, to Smart, to Oladipo. There's value in that.

This is Tatum and Brown's team now. And they're around 23 years old. Every move now needs to be made with the thought of does this make Tatum's more or less likely to feel like the Celtics are a contender 3 seasons from now.

We've got to add someone else who can play C. RWIII, Tacko and Theis alone aren't enough depth.

I don't think anyone at all is "excited" for Paul Milsap.
