Absolutely no to Payton, that would be the worst move we could do this offseason.

Just give the keys to Smith Jr and Frank. Smith Jr looked pretty good here for his first half season after the trade, came out of shape to the start of last season and dealt with a back injury and the death of his stepmother. I don't think he's completely regressed to the point that he forgot how to play the game, he did average around 13 or 14 ppg his rookie season with the Mavs.

I'm one of the boards biggest Frank fans and obviously I'd love to see him get 30 mpg as a combo guard. We should give both those guys every opportunity this year to try and succeed since they're both 4th year guys now heading into their contract years. I still have faith.

Let's follow the Pills strategy of signing some of these dudes to 1 year contracts to trade for picks in the 2021 draft. Oh, and make sure those players are actually good. Millsap, for example, can play a role on any contender if we can get him.

There's gonna be some injuries to these contenders, some are gonna get desperate, etc. Also would not mind signing Giles to a cheap contract as a backup. Only good bigs we have in our rotation are Mitch and Obi anyway.

For real. Obviously anecdotal, but my sister moved to the suburbs of Charlotte. She had a good idea of what she was getting into - she wasn't going there ignorantly. She eventually left after a couple of years because the racism she was experiencing was just too much for what she was willing to put up with in her life.
