Where’s Smith?

Hopefully mostly when Booker or Paul sit they stagger them at all times and play Bridges next to one of them, and only use Payne and Carter in spot minutes. They have plenty to cover 3-4 even if Bridges moves down to SG next to Paul or Booker.
Knowing Monty though, he will put like 3 3rd string PGs out there for our bench until with like Saric and Jalen.
Like bring up Ty'Shon and play him (or Okobo if they keep him, which at this point, is probable), Payne, Carter and the two bigs. He seems to like that for whatever reason.
Purely a trade chip. They lock in a $10 mil expiring to move at the deadline.Revived wrote:BobbieL wrote:darmani wrote:

I don’t understand why they even bothered with a 10M/yr deal for Leonard. He doesn’t even play and he sucks when he does. Should be a vet min player. Kaminsky type player.
Other than that deal, Heat are having a strong offseason.

Wild, isn't it? I suppose I must admit that fringe NBA player is certainly better than not an NBA player, which is what most SRPs turn out to be. Jalen Lecque wasn't even ready for the G League last season.

I think Ayton at this point would probably get overwhelmed in the playoffs when intensity goes way up. Not that I think we even get to the WCF. I think best case scenario is we get a 5 seed or so and possibly advance (though it would be hard against someone like Denver or Dallas) but if we advance would likely get beaten handily by the Lakers or Clips or whoever the 1 seed is, barring major injuries.

I would take a Round 1 series win and a win or two in Round 2 right now
