There have been a few times he has pushed back on playing for team Canada.

That's a far cry from "never showing up". Tristan Thompson has played 26 games over 5 tournaments for Canada at the senior men's level, and another 14 games over 2 tournaments at the junior level. It's simply not true to say that he doesn't rep Canada or hasn't shown up over the years. I don't understand why people on this site insist on speaking in such ridiculous hyperbole.

Diaw on the Suns had way more potential. He got fat, was still a decent player. Gobert gets benched in the playoffs.

Seriously want to consider bringing in Melo after we deal with Ibaka. He is a perfect back up 3/4 that can buy us buckets when our offense stalls (esp in the playoffs). We coulda beaten the Celtics if we had Melo buy us a couple of extra buckets when Pascal was struggling.
