That Lazaro goal though. Didn't even know he's back in the league.

We would not have a single point without him.

Can only imagine how many goals he would've scored this season already if he had teammates providing him with more quality passes.
Except for the last two first halfs against Freiburg and Schalke, the quality of passes he has received from teammates in the box...was absolute garbage.

They are going to have to rob the European Central Bank to make it happen.

What a mess in Gelsenkirchen!
Ibisevic is out.
Bentaleb has to leave the club at the end of the season.
Harit & Bentaleb were excluded from the team have to work out individually.

Sörloth looks like a bust.
Wonder what the hell Leipzig was thinking to pay 20 mil. for a striker who has only scored well in Turkey and Nordic countries.

This was the best prove that Dortmund has only a team for place 2. to 4. :banghead:

Dortmund is too young. There will always be games like these were they are not getting it done.

Dortmund always has a very young team, every season. They buy young players to develop them and after a few years, they decide to sell them for good money (like Dembele).
The real problem is that they don't have the mentality or the willingness to get the W.

The problem is that they sell the players before they are able to win every game.

With highly skilled but far too young players like Halaand, Sancho, Moukoko, Reyna and Bellingham getting major minutes you are not going to compete with Bayern over the course of a full season because Bayerns players are just as talented but more experienced.

Bayern are getting the wins even on days where they play a little sloppy. When Dortmund play sloppy, they drop points.

Things would be different if Dortmund kept these highly talented players until they are in the middle of their prime but typically they are sold by then. In addition, the senior players that Dortmund has quality-wise are typically a step below what Bayern has to offer at the position (e.g. Hummels who was told we don't need you anymore at Bayern, Neuer vs. Bürki) or injury prone (Reus).

It's not a mentality issue. Dortmund is just not good enough to win all games the way Bayern does. On the sloppy days, they will drop points. Bayern usually doesn't even on the sloppy days.

Take the LB position as example.
Davies is injured. Top class player when healthy.
Who are Bayern throwing there as replacement?
Hernandez. Top class player.
Who else could Bayern throw there?
Alaba. Top class player.

Dortmund meanwhile:
Starter: Guerreiro. Top class player. Injured.
Who are Dortmund thowing in as replacement?
Passlack. Mediocre player.
Schulz. Mediocre player.

Can't expect to win every game when you do not have the right options on your roster.

You're right, but i think for Dortmund it's primarily more important to make money than to win titles. They sell players too early.
Furthermore, i've watched the last games and is realized another problem: A. Witsel.
Every time, he is on the pitch, he always slows down the pace and destroys Favre's game plan.
It is now time for Bellingham!

They sell them early because they can't afford the salaries when the players reach their prime.
Just look at this corona time. Dortmund expecting a loss of 75 mil. €.
Dortmund salary structure is already as high as they can potentially afford.

And because of that corona time it could be even worse.
I've read that Delaney wants go to England (Dortmund wants at least 10 mio)

btw.:
Haaland is out until January.
This is bad for the whole squad, because nobody can reliably score.
Good night, Dortmund.

yeah^^
especially after such disappointing games by Dortmund
these are always performances, where you get the impression (as a spectator) that the players intentionally play worse as usual, only to force a change of the head coach.
consequence is the 4th seed in the national league. :banghead:

would be no wonder if they loose the first place in the cl-groupe against St. Petersburg on tuesday.
