Wow Ryan. It really tough, but you managed to make more of an ________ of yourself than Sarver.

I am beginning to think the problems of the Ryan McD era were actually Ryan McDunce.

McDonough was swinging for the fences when he drafted all those years, he wasnt looking for "fit" or he was hoping one turn up to be a star ASAP.
He also hired coaches with NO plans, except ask players to go isolation... Suns from 2016 to 2018 were HORRIBLE to watch. Last in assists and players playing for themselves as if they were in a "Try Out".

God, I would love to wake up some morning and see that Jeff Bezos is interested in tossing 1 or 2 of his 160+ billion $arver's way in order to own this team. I'll give $arver credit though, at least he's not selling draft picks anymore-yet.

Can you imagine? Talk about not worrying about the luxury tax, repeater tax, etc.

We'd wake up one morning with a note saying the Suns have been moved to Seattle.

Dang looking at his stats he's pretty awesome. Well, from a three point shooting perspective and youth perspective. Seems kinda bad on D, but having a flamethrower off the bench would be nice. He'd have a chance to hit 6 to 8 threes given the right minutes on the right nights and that could win us a few games

Not sure if that's the case, he drafted a ton of guys with 'upside' like Jackson, Chriss and Bender over proven sure things.

I think there is a good chance that if we don't offer Saric more than the MLE, he will play on the QO (especially if the offer is like $7 million a year). Agent probably looking at the market telling him he can make A LOT more than that next summer and QO is over $5 million anyway. I wouldn't mind him on the QO though now that we have Jalen and Jae. Saric wasn't that great most of the season...and I don't quite trust bubble stats/play.

I don't think so. I posted it right when I saw it but then looked to see if anyone else said it. But it's odd because I went back to see who he was and saw this "Kansas beat writer for @247Sports via @CBSSports"

I dunno, the money is drying up this year, and next year there will be a lot of teams with space but also a lot of FAs next year commanding that money. I think a 1+1 deal with a player option might suit both parties fairly well.

I think this would be a mistake. What will the Suns be able to get next year?? We will not have cap space unless CP3 opts out of his contract.

That makes sense. Maybe declining like $13-$11.5

I don't know if there are a ton of free agents next summer...just some big names and Oubre but the main thing is that a lot of teams are clearing cap space for next summer for Giannis and only one team will get him and he could stay in Milwaukee. That would leave NY, Toronto, Miami and Dallas with a ton of cap space, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other teams will have cap space too.

That's why I think we need to offer him more. They could still re-sign him next year if his play holds up like it did in the bubble. But I don't know that we really need to do anything like 3/$30 or 3/$40.

I agree with the last post about a 2 year deal would be good...but annual amount would have to be higher than $7 I think, which is what I've seen people tossing around as a number for him.

He may be getting MLE offers even if teams don't need him because they want trade assets and depth doesn't hurt. A contract like that gives you a trade asset that might get you a guy you want but couldn't get in FA because he wasn't a FA.

It's a pretty good class. Giannis, Kawhi, Paul George, Gobert, Dipo, Jrue Holliday, DeRozan, Drummond, Oubre, Adams, Blake Griffin.

It's definitely an OLDER FA class, but there is PLENTY of talent that someone will throw stupid money at. Watch the Knicks sign Oubre and Drummond and think they've got a shot in the East.
