Are we really sure that Jaylen would have gotten a big offer this offseason?

Very few teams with that kind of cap room, and of the ones who do or could have, who was bypassing all of the other possible guys out there just to tie it up in an offer they know we'd have matched? Maybe the Knicks do it for the max just to spite us, but... hmm.

fake under the cap. Theis team option and 2 draft pick signings basically take us right to the cap.

To be honest having a contract like semi is valuable also a contract that can be traded .we are super weak at the bigs at the moment he is also one of the longest tenured player along with smart so a familiar face in the locker room with young as rookies and youngsters isn't entirely bad.
Brown's #1 fan on this forum.

We have money to spend and a couple roster spots.

Be very careful how you treat Green if you want Tatum to sign long term is all I'm saying.

Thanks for this. Would be huge if Ibaka signed here on the MLE. He's pretty much exactly what they look for in a big man and is somewhat of a rim protector - certainly better than other options on the market.

Kemba, Smart, JB, JT and Serge is nice. Would certainly be enough to cool some guys down for a bit lol

Theis and Semi or Edwards for PJ Tucker?

Kemba/Smart
JB/Romeo
JT/Nesmith
Tucker/Grant
Ibaka/Rob

I mean there are moves to make to improve the team, Danny has to be more aggressive though..and get a little lucky.
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

I'm genuinely curious. Seems like you're not having much fun little guy.

I mean defending the honor of Danny Ainge must be taxing and all. The roster depth is pretty brutal. Stevie Wonder could see that.

Pretty sure I stated losing Hayward for nothing was brutal multiple times chief. Just pointed a more optimistic picture and didn't **** my pants after losing Hayward because I don't think it's as big of a loss as you do clearly. The sky isn't falling.

We just have differing views on the state of the team, just as we did last year when you were going crazy after they didn't re-sign Horford...

What do you like about this roster? Honestly. Aside from Brown and Tatum. What do you like?

He impressed me with his 3 point shooting. With him on the court there will be more open lanes for Brown and Tatum.

Harry Giles
Ibaka
Baynes
KCP
Glenn Robinson
Austin Rivers
Evan Turner

Taj Gibson
E'Twaun Moore
Bryn Forbes

Isn't Tristan Thompson available? And Baynes?

I'd like to get a big as first order of business: Ibaka, Giles, Baynes, Thompson

pretty sure Charlotte would have rather given that contract to Brown

Only about $4.5mil below by my count. Actually don't want to be too far below as the biggest MLE requires you not to be a cap space team.

But yes, we have the full MLE to spend.

Charlotte easily gives him the money they threw at Hayward!

He would have been top restricted fee agent. Everyone knows BI is getting max, nobody called the bluff to waste time on offer sheet. Hawks and Knicks would have offered and we would have had to match full max (which isn't end of world), or worse he takes QO and is unrestricted in next years big cap space wave.... bad.

I'm not in the fire Danny crowd, however I do think it is time to evaluate his place in the league and determine if he still has the valuable connections a GM needs in order to consummate deals in the league.
