I mean defending the honor of Danny Ainge must be taxing and all. The roster depth is pretty brutal. Stevie Wonder could see that.

Pretty sure I stated losing Hayward for nothing was brutal multiple times chief. Just pointed a more optimistic picture and didn't **** my pants after losing Hayward because I don't think it's as big of a loss as you do clearly. The sky isn't falling.

We just have differing views on the state of the team, just as we did last year when you were going crazy after they didn't re-sign Horford...

He's not reading or responding to what you're actually posting. He's got a caricature in his head of what he imagines optimistic fans are like, and is waging war against that.

Are we really sure that Jaylen would have gotten a big offer this offseason?

Very few teams with that kind of cap room, and of the ones who do or could have, who was bypassing all of the other possible guys out there just to tie it up in an offer they know we'd have matched. Maybe the Knicks do it for the max just to spite us, but... hmm.

He would have been top restricted fee agent. Everyone knows BI is getting max, nobody called the bluff to waste time on offer sheet. Hawks and Knicks would have offered and we would have had to match full max (which isn't end of world), or worse he takes QO and is unrestricted in next years big cap space wave.... bad.

Are we sure? I'm not.

Some random guy called Melton that I've never heard of got a 40 mil contract offer today. He would absolutely have been a top priority for several teams! Especially after how he played this past season!

I'm rooting for the timeline where every single one of these reported-but-not-consumated deals from the last 24 hours all unravel completely and we're left sitting here like we just lost a day and nobody knows where to go from there.

T.Roze was gone the minute they drafted Melo. At least he got a good deal. Hope he finds his place, I love the kid. That playoff run he helped us in was so much fun..

Bryn Forbes

Isn't Tristan Thompson available? And Baynes?

I'd like to get a big ass first order of business: Ibaka, Giles, Baynes, Thompson

Assuming we're talking Michelle here? Better wingspan and standing reach than Barack.

Michelle probably has a better jump shot than Semi

You don't think Atlanta would have maxed him?

No, because we take our time to match and they lose out on everyone else.

Only possibility I see is the Knicks.

What do you like about this roster? Honestly.

I like having a borderline top 10 player who is ascending in Jayson Tatum, the only guy to put up 25/10/5 in the playoffs.

I also like Jaylen Brown, Kemba Walker, and Marcus Smart.

I like Theis but definitely need an upgrade. I also am cautiously optimistic about Langford going forward (health is the issue) and love both Nesmith and Pritchard. I think Grant is a good bench piece glue guy going forward and think Timelord can be pretty good.

Smart takes way too many shots. Hes a solid player but his shot selection sucks. Falls in love with his jumper way too much when he should defer. Solid pieces. You've mentioned Langford Timelord Grant Nesmith and Prichard. All 5 will be in the rotation this year. That doesn't bode well for this teams chances. They need some kind of veteran or two to help this thing grow.

Yeah I don't disagree about the issues with Smart but he's still a good player and a top 5 defender in the league. I agree that they need some veterans to round the roster out. I just said I like those young guys and obviously we need another big and wing signed going into the year. You can't have your bench be Grant Williams, Timelord, Nesmith, Langford, and Pritchard like you said and I'm sure the front office is aware of that as well lol.
