So true. The dude slapped us around the court for years, he's always been a solid tough player. Obviously not a great day for the Celtics re:Hayward but this signing is a good one.

Nets still have their tax payer MLE, which is on paper, definitely nowhere near enough to sign Ibaka.

Fills a need, but doesn’t necessarily push them over the TOP to come out the East

I loved Tristan. He plays with toughness and attitude. He isn't a great defensive or offensive player, but he isn't terrible at both and he can give you toughness. He will give the Celitcs what they lost when Baynes left.

That’s a good get for the Celtics

Thanks for everything Tristan. Extremely underrated player. MASSIVE factor in those Finals teams, truly under appreciated.

Shame I have to watch him go play for the Celtics. Gross.

I guess Ainge watched him abuse Horford for so many playoff games he had to go get him.

A little surprised, I thought Thompson was going to LA due to his relationship with LeBron/Klutch, as well as for the (Kardashian) lifestyle.

I think Miami still has the full MLE after losing Crowder, but they aren't going to give two guaranteed years.

He'd be a good minimum level or taxpayer MLE signing, but full MLE for him is a waste. Guy doesn't do anything at a high level except rebounding. His defensive metrics blow, and his offensive efficiency is awful for a center.

Like I said, underrated. Watch him play on your team and you will completely change your tune. He is like Marcus Smart the PF version and everybody loooooves them some Marcus Smart in Boston

That’s a steal. His value in the playoffs and close games is huge.

His body is breaking down, but a smart contract.

Yeah I’m curious how much the Raptors really want to spend when they need the money for Giannis race. Nets have less than the clippers to offer. It’s taken this long so anything can happen

Froob wrote:Excellent signing, I’ve finally spoke TT to the Celtics into existence

Good energy big and great offensive rebounder.

He also may be working on a 3 point shot.

He was 9 for 23 (.391) on threes last season.

If TT can add a league average 3 point shot on little bit higher volume to his game then this can be a very good get for the Celts.

Ainge and 6'8" centers who can't shoot. Almost as great a duo as AInge apologists now saying "but he shot 39% from three) lol...on .4 attempts. Lucky for Ainge, he's got a fanbase that defends his every move and an owner happy to just make the playoffs as long as it doesn't ever put them in the luxury tax. We're the definition of a treadmill team. Good thing this won't piss Tatum off and he won't demand a trade in a couple of years...oh wait

Depending on what Serge wants, I could see him signing either a 1 year or multi year MLE deal to chase another ring. He’s already made a lot of money.

Oh don’t worry, now that he wears green something will happen to him.

Nice signing due to need none the less.
