I’m sorry but at this point it’s almost a guaranteed forgone conclusion that Morey is working on a significant trade

Are they really getting richer keeping someone they already had? More like the rich stay rich.

If it involves Tobias Harris, it's a win.

He'd probably be the best on ball, perimeter playmaker on the team. Maybe the best movement shooter as well. Passable defender. Probably would be the 4th best player on the team and fits well.

You realize that Fournier makes $17M? So even if you can make this a legal trade you're increasing salaries over what were paying with Horford on the roster even further into Luxury Tax space. I agree Fournier has some value but not enough to not only pay the higher luxury tax but also put us into the apron and all of the salary cap and trade restrictions that come with it.

They're already over the apron fwiw

You'd basically end up with the same cap number that we were at going into the year, minus the ugly future cap situation. The tax is part of winning. The Warriors just spent like 82M to acquire Kelly Oubre

The only possible major trades are probably Harden and Beal.

Wizards should be in rebuild mode really and Harden is going to be traded but no one until now has made a reasonable offer it seems.

I thought that after the Horford trade, they would've fallen a few million under it. Maybe after they sign rookies they will be over.

If they are not going to sign a PG, I would rather them sign Noel for the remaining tmle or atleast bring back Pelle on a minimum contract. We cant have Howard only as our center when Joel sits some games.

A lot of guys getting paid more years and dollars than I would value them, with some teams like the Pistons doing incredibly odd things. Very goofy year out there, though 2020, so why be surprised.

It looks to be a good year to be Serge Ibaka, he is going to make bank with a good team.

Bring someone like Dario back and have him run smallball 5 in those situations. Don't waste capital on the third center imo

As a basketball player, he has a skillset we could really use.

As a knucklehead, can you really add him and Dwight Howard in the same year, and in Philly, and hope they both continue to act like adults?

I mean I would say Morey would do it yeah. Just how many years would he realistically be worth. I wouldn’t go more than 2

Phoenix will happily match the tmle if Dario even signs our offer sheet.

I'm still all in on getting Geroge Hill, especially now that he could simply be added to the Horford trade where we get Hill vs the trade exception. But with all the PGs falling off the board, if Hill doesn't become a thing, I am curious what the Pistons are looking for in a possible Derrick Rose trade. Salary matching would be easy, but what kind of picks are they looking for? They clearly arent finishing higher than 12th in the East this year. Not sure what Derrick Rose as an expiring does for them other than a valuable trade asset.
