For those who speak Spanish. Something about 24th in the draft. He was only one off. Can somebody translate.

He was so excited that he made a mistake with he number of the pick.

He says how proud he is for another Argentinan being drafted and how the Timberwolves are going to be a team to watch and support from now on because of those 2.

Hopefully Bolmaro blows up and becomes at least a nice tradeable asset.
He looks pretty raw right now offensively, but the defense projects well.

I love his relentless attacking offense. I believe he's an excellent prospect both offensively and defensively.

I would agree, but his shot is really broken, he needs a lot of work on it.
If he can improve it he could have a future as a switchable wing. Right now you don't even have to guard him out there.
He has a tendency to dribble himself into trouble, typical for a young player but correctable.

His defense and size as a switchable wing would play in the league right now.
He also passes well with both hands, which is an impressive skill.
I'm not as bullish on him until he fixes his shot/shot mechanics.
Hopefully he can get 2 more years of seasoning and come over or play well and really boost his trade value.

Just curious how is doing this season? I looked at his euro numbers and they were concerning to say the least.

Young players rarely get major run on good Euro teams. They value experience over youth and development.

Could he be the alternative to drafting Avdija? Looks taller on court than I thought I read at draft time.

Highlights look great.

There is no chance he does that in Minnesota.

Stand in the corner and play your role!

Schmitz has been Bolmaro’s biggest fan all along. Said he’d take him as the #2 non-US player in last years draft. When a looked a month or so ago, didn’t look like Bolmaro was playing much, especially in Euroleague games, so highlights like this are very nice to see.

Edit: Shot looks a little funky. Almost like he shoots it on the way up. Wonder if he can be a consistent shooter without some tweaks.

If it is behind Hayes/Avdija that isn’t saying much those two look like major busts.

Hayes maybe. Avdija I always viewed as more of a glue guy than a star and he did ok there. Not great, but a solid base to build on.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised if Hayes' career is done. IIRC the injury he suffered was the same as the one Thomas had in Boston and Flynn had here way back when, neither of whom looked the same afterwards.

As I have said on other occasions, I am Spanish and a Barcelona supporter (I usually watch almost all their matches).

Bolmaro's evolution this year with Jasikevicius is being huge, a shame that last year he was with Pesic (Thibodeu Euroleague coach).
Its main evolution is being in the shot, especially in the triple.
His defense is elite, from now on, with his intensity and size he will make a difference.

I wasn't very optimistic in the summer, but to this day I have few doubts.

What I am not clear about is whether another year in Europe would be better (it would also have a more important role) or to bring it now.

Thanks for the eval. It’s so hard for us to judge these younger EL players they have such small roles on their European teams, often only playing a few minutes in more important games.

Can you please give some comparisons to current NBA players for things like handle, defensive ability, shooting preferences (pull ups, catch and shoot, pick and pop, ect...) Also is he more of a guard or a wing?

Looks a bit like Bogdan Bogdanovic to me (though only judging by the highlights) in terms of a swingman that has good court vision.
