What is this league wide obsession over Bogdan Bogdanovic? Is he really much better than Doug McDermott? Do we lack depth at SF?

Half the people would need to take a voluntary 2 week ban and recalibrate themselves after the amount of hate that was spewed in the last 24 hours!!!![]()

And what do the other half do if he doesn't?

Re: Trade Thread #8: All Gordon things come to an End
Hornets have to clear a bit of cap space to sign Hayward, no? So how would the Celtics get a TPE for Haywards contract without taking a salary back?

TPE
Celtics would have to take back at least $10 million in salary to make it worthwhile to Charlotte (Zeller or Rozier) is the most likely

That group will stay in games.
Question is how much youth development we can get.
I would add Grant, but I'm irrationally high on him. Maybe the highest BBIQ guy on the team now that Gordon's gone.

It could also be rolled over to the start of free agency next season.

I mean i don't know that giving up a pick for a TE, then giving up another pick for the right to sign a guy to what will probably not be a value contract all so he can take minutes away from your 2 21 year old wing prospects is a no brainer.
He's not gonna take their minutes away lol. There's 192 minutes to divide up between 4 positions (1-4). Right now we have 4 trustworthy guys (Kemba, Smart, Brown, Tatum) for those spots. Obviously you don't want them playing 48 minutes per game so adding a 5th guy gets that number down to 38 minutes per game for each guy. You factor in Kemba needing rest, and that Brad mostly keeps his guys at 32-34mins per game during the season, you make up the rest with some combination of our bench guys and the perimeter rotation looks perfect.

That's a team that could go to the finals. Heck, we were close last year and this lineup addresses the weaknesses. It's a talented and deep team that kept the JT, Kemba, Brown and Smart core intact. Just gotta get Kemba healthy is the issue.
Oh I know, I know: "but, but but, the 6ers and the Nets and the Bucks, and lions and tigers and bears. SOOOOO scary! Please.
Woah woah woah, gotta stop doing lines if you think that's a finals roster.
And let's put last year's ECF run into a little bit of context. 76ers and Nets got real better. It won't be a bubble season again. And we can't count on the Greek Freak **** the bed again. Or Ben Simmons getting injured at the worst possible time.
There were a lot of factors to that ECF run that likely won't be there. And there is always that looming threat of a Harden going to the 76ers or Nets making them one if not the favorites in the league for the title.
Right now we are who we are, below contenders levels stuck in that **** second round mid tier. Having dick measuring contests with Indy and the Heat and the Raps when we all know it doesn't really matter.
I would put good money on the Bucks and Giannis **** the bed again in the playoffs after another dominant regular season. They don't have the shooting for the playoffs oddly, and the defense they play gives too many corner 3's for the playoffs. Miami wrecked that and we probably would have too.
The nets are only scary of the get Harden, and i'm not sure that happens.
Sixers got less talented, but simmons is back, and the team has a better fit together now. If green keeps shooting like he has the last 18 months, i wouldn't see they are unbeatable.
But odds are against a team with 2 stars, maybe superstars, who are 23 and 22.
That's really the issue: JT and JB's age. It looks as if the Celtics brass want to keep rolling with them and are now surrounding the young stars with more complimentary vets. It's a paradox: JT is either a top 10 player or he is not, despite the age otherwise, it's "Well, it's LeBron's league...now it's Harden's turn...now it's Giannis... now it's Luka's.... now it's... Zion", etc. At some point you have to roll with your guys. Yes, they are still young, but the entire plan is somewhat predicated on Tatum taking that next step,
So, yeah, with the additions made so far, this team can get to the finals. I think LA is still the team to beat ultimately, but those other East teams --- the Celtics need to take it from them. The young Celtics guys have playoff experience, and they have to prove that they can continue to grow.
