I guess when you look at NN replacing Taj, it's not that weird. Seems more like checking boxes. Who knows. Probably they're looking to see if they can do something big but otherwise see how the season goes.

I don't think the Elfrid signing is excusable though. Anybody but him basically. He was part of their best play of the season but ultimately it was empty and he doesn't help anybody. And make no mistake he will get PT.

I'm sure they'll keep open some possibility of doing something big. The thing is, I think front offices see themselves through the media's eyes. They think "We're being patient" or "We're being aggressive" like MJ.

To me, both those things miss the point and are wrong. You should be opportunistic and pick the right guys. There is a level of self-consciousness about how smart or heroic their philosophies are, but I think it doesn't matter when you strike or how ... you can be patient or not depending on what's in front of you.

Fine to not want to dish out big contracts or long-term deals, but putting Elfrid back on your roster is a pretty big mistake. He's a marginal player who will play a lot and doesn't really fit any role adequately.

I think we have 26M available, dont we? We can sign Burks, Noel, Ed or Payton with the MLE.

There arent expensive players without contracts except for Bogdan, Ibaka, Ingram and AD.

We need a starter PG and SG.

i mean this is going to be the easiest sh*t to predict ever. Draft picks...FA...trades...we have a much narrow group to choose from.

I think they're seeing about a big move but maybe this is just filling in some blanks. With one big mistake since we don't need Elfrid and he doesn't help the main guys who need to grow.

Elfrid was hopefully Perry drunk dialing until someone snatched his phone away and locked him in a closet
